Zeke Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Something I found out today while trying to get my wingmen to attack targets at my SPI. First thing I did was turn on my 'Send SPI' thingy and make sure it was displayed on the TAD. My wingman just kept flying around and then calling rejoin. I stumbled on this by accident. I turned off the 'Send SPI' signal before calling out what I wanted them to attack, and then I turned it back on right after the radio call to them. They hit the targets well after that, I just kept calling out targets with the 'Send SPI' off and then turned it right back on after the call. It was much fun watching them do all the work for a change.
WildBillKelsoe Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 the SPI broadcast is not needed to trigger the specifics with wingman. Just lock target with a sensor, set the sensor as SOI, select TAD, hook your wingman passively (TMS short) and hit SEND XX-XX (wingman GRP/OWN ID), then issue engage with order. A-10 AI attack is less specific than Ka-50 attack (in Shark, wingman attacks just this one target you locked on squall) AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
