LNR212 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Hey Guys! I would like to reconfigure my monitors, inspired by JG14_Smil's PLP-Setup. For now it looks like this: in Windows setup it looks like this (not to scale): Now i would like to turn the outer two Monitors to look like this: BUT: i haven't messed around with this SoftTH before. But i think i should use it for Bezel-correction and to not use unrendered areas. Also to get rid of this annoying Catalyst Comand Center for Eyefinity-settings... The Question is, where should i put my six Helios-monitors? Ideal would be that i could move the mouse from the middle Monitor down to the big Helios-monitor. But if it would be better for FPS, i would position it beside my right main-monitor. Also which "resolution" should i put then in the ingame-settings? I also use the small monitors for some exported Informations from the game like CDU, CMSP, UV-26... What would be the best setting overall? And how to set it in this SoftTH??? Thanks for help!
JG14_Smil Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I put my Helios monitor to the right. You get used to moving the mouse to the right to go across all monitors. PeterP has a pretty good guide for redirecting the monitors in SoftTH. You need to find the most efficient way of laying them out, but it is harder with all those monitors. SoftTH sets itself up pretty well and you just edit position numbers to add in your bezel management. 1
LNR212 Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 after some confusing hours i finally made it... thank you smil!
LNR212 Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Oh, and here is my result: Bezel correction wasn't easy first, but then i found a good "how to": http://www.kegetys.fi/forum/index.php?topic=2966.0
GregP Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Wow, sweet setup. How do you run so many monitors? Are those Helios monitors running through USB?
JG14_Smil Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Outstanding job Inr212! How is it performing for you?
LNR212 Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 Yes GregP, the small ones are usb-toch monitors. Unfortunately the bigger Helios-screen is no touchscreen... Thank's Smil! I haven't really tested it right now, first i have to do the viewpoint-settings. But after some first tries i think it runs a bit smoother due to this SoftTH. (a better GUI for this would be better) Maybe i can tell you some more the next days... Thank you so far!
