IFFCC->AAS->MAN_FXD unit?

Hi all,

 

question about setting the gun funnel in A2A mode. You can set custom values for wingspan and length of your potential target via the IFFCC->AAS page. But what unit is used here? Feet, meters, inches, yards?

It should be set in feet

 

but to be sure I looked it up in the manual and you are right, it is not mentioned specifically

 

DCS A-10C Flight Manual EN on page 359/360 says:

 

AAS. The Air-to-Air Submenu (AAS) allows you to set the air-to-air gun funnel according to 10 pre-set aircraft or create parameters for two aircraft manually.

 

• To select one of the pre-set parameters, move the selection caret to the left of the entry and then press ENTER on the UFC.
  

 

• To create a manual entry, you can either set a fixed wing entry or a rotary wing entry (MAN-FXD or MAN-RTY). Like the pre-sets, select the entry and press the ENTER button on the UFC. Once selected you have the option to manually set values for:
  

o Wingspan

o Length

o Target Speed

 

• Once you have made your changes, select STORE from the list or select CANCEL.
