P3CFE Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) First of all, great module... Have to learn to fly all over again :joystick::cry::joystick: !! but it's worth it. I noticed that during Start of the engine de voltage indicator goes to a higher value, while it should drop because of the load on the battery by the starter. Small thing, but still... Thanks, Should have placed this in the " Aircraft Systems/Avionics" section...sorry. Edited May 3, 2013 by P3CFE
HuggyBear Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Is it the voltmeter or loadmeter which peaks? During testing it was working fine as I would check DC volts recovering to 15 VDC by 12% N1. P3CFE Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) Restarted this moment and de DC indicator is ok now...must have been fingertrouble....Sorry !!. The "Standby gen" loadmeter drops a little below zero during start, think this is OK. The "mainGen load meter" increases during start (looks oké cause it is delivering power). After start, when (to try things out) I turn off the "main Gen", the respective load indicator drops to zero, and when i then turn to "stby gen" the "stby load indicator" deflects above zero, indicating it takes the load. So ... everything works perfect, great job on realism :)) Thanks for the quick reaction, now holding my breath again, to go hovering exersize. Edited May 3, 2013 by P3CFE
HuggyBear Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Good to hear! :) The Standby Gen is actually also the Starter Gen, just operating in Starter Gen mode, so any indication on the Standby Gen Loadmeter while the Starter is energised will be defective. The Loadmeter is basically like an Ammeter but with the load/current indicated as a percentage of total generator capacity. Later Bell aircraft like the Bell 412 use an Ammeter instead. P3CFE Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Thanks for the info on the "stby gen" and loadmeter Learning all the time ... greetings, John
