Noj Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I've been assigning my HOTAS to the controls in the Huey, and it struck me that there don't seem to be any flare or chaff dispensers. In 1985 I met two US Army WO's in Copenhagen whilst on a march and shoot competition and they were kind enough to show me around the Huey they'd flown in. I don't know if it was an 'H' or not, though, but they most definitely explained the use of 'countermeasures' in the form of at least chaff (can't remember if they mentioned flares) and some kind of basic RWR. It's the one thing I distinctly remember. I was saying how vulnerable they must feel on the battlefield and they showed me these systems and seemed very confident of their performance.
