  1. I wouldn't worry too much - I went through the others and a lot of them are no longer around, or have gone elsewhere. Lack of admin on the wiki, I think. ;) Your name sounds very familiar  from RL, I mean. Still, probably lots of those around - there are three of me in my county alone, and that's only the ones I know of.
  2. Would be nice if you would have this updated on the Eagle-wiki, so that people don't waste time on a wild goose-chase, trying to find out what's what. :smilewink: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Virtual_Squadrons_and_Regiments
  3. I've found this issue covered from over 2 years ago - but these modules were all purchased from the only account I've ever had, all with the same email address etc. Never mind, though, I'll just stay offline - being kept from flying far too much these days.
  4. When I log in, I get a message "Invalid serial number". I get logged in, but no servers are listed. I've not been online for over a year, so don't know when this may have started. Yet all is okay in offline mode and my module manager seems to show all is well. I have all modules except the Bf-109 and Fw-190 (including the Hawk).
  5. Hi Roadrunner - that's good of you. I just sent you the code - it's up to you what you do with it, but I did also get entries via pm, and the first to guess at "Hornet" was someone else ;) (although I see he has edited his post to say it's the Sea variant - up to you, mate!) Thanks, guys - I just knew I wasn't going to fly it and why leave it sat unused on my hard drive?
  6. You got it, exactly! Well done! I'll pm you the code for the Fw-190D in amoment. This is a screenie of the FSX freeware model, by Rob Carrich. Another 3 are attached (seems starnge I can't post an actual image, but never mind). HERE's some more info and there's also a rare YouTube video of a 'standard' Hornet flight in Malaya: http://users.skynet.be/BAMRS/dh103/dh103.htm http://www.tangmere-museum.org.uk/aircraft-month/de-havilland-hornet http://robertjamesrichardson.co.uk/page4.html the video: Thanks to all who entered and lots of fun flying the Dora, Roadrunner :) Comiserations to the two guys who said "Hornet", but Roadrunner got the exact model and even the variant - so a worthy winner!
  7. I'm taking the mutt for a walk - when I get back, if no-one has guessed it, I'll post the front view. Good luck!
  8. Thanks for entering - no, not a Blenhiem. This version is the Royal Navy, carrier-borne one. It used two Merlins and was made of wood - just like the Mossie.
  9. Another clue - it served in the British campaign in Malaya and this particular version had a two-man crew (earlier models had just the pilot). Should be a lot easier now.
  10. Nah, you're not the first to think that - but try a little later than that. It wasn't famous, either - in fact, I'd never heard of it myself until this appeared about a year ago for FSX (and that's another clue). Btw - it's the 190 I'm giving away - just to be clear - not the 109. Cheers PS - as it's not so easy, I'd be happy for you to have 2 guesses ;)
  11. I have an Fw-190D which is surplus to requirement and I'd like to offer it to someone in the community. I'd prefer if it went to someone who doesn't already have one and will actually fly it themselves - leave that up to your honesty :) First person to correctly identify the aircraft in the screenshot below gets it. I want the exact name of the aircraft, but you don't need the exact version. I thought it would be too easy with anything other than a six o'clock shot - but if no-one gets it (unlikely) then I'll post one of a frontal view.
  12. Righty-ho. :) Do I have to use any area of the forums in particular? (for offering it to give away)
  13. Thanks very much - I've been thinking of a way to choose who to give it to, as none of my friends are into flight simming, and I'll make a post shortly
  14. I was given the Fw-190D after backing the WWII project with less than $20 (I withdrew my original higher pledge after all the messing about that went on). Anyway, I have activated the key, when I watched the AI fly my plane for a while, after getting in for a test and not liking it. Is it still possible to give it away to someone else - I really don't want it and only took it because I already had a P-51D. I was hoping I would get to like it, but I haven't touched it since, and now have no intention of ever doing so.
  15. Okay, sorted. It was probably the speed, and I must have slowed before taking the shot that shows 327. However, the gear refused to retract regardless, so it must have been damaged. Having just flown the mission again, I see why I was going too fast. Although most of us know what to do, we may run through the tutes just for a look (as I did) - but when I do so, I wait for the 'instructor' to tell me to do something before I do it. When lining up on the runway, he says to go to full throttle and take off at 250. By the time he says to raise the 'gear', we're already going through 450! So there lies the problem. I raised the gear the instant my wheels left the ground and all went well, but someone who has little idea probably won't until they are told to - by which time it's too late. Probably not something that will be corrected, but there ya go :) I see someone else has posted the same here - so it didn't take long...
  16. I'm going from what is on the info bar - so if that is km/h then that's what the speed was. I was assuming it was in knots. I would post the pic, but it's 3 screens wide and on one screen you can't read it. If I resize it to meet uploading or posting restraints, it would be illegible, too. I'll have another try at the same tute and take off after it tomorrow and either get the track or record it myself. Pretty sure I couldn't save a track, as it's a tutorial mission, but we'll see.
  17. I just checked the screenshot I took as soon as I'd realised and it showed 327KIAS, so it will have been lower than that. This is too fast already, with a V2 of 250? Wow - that's tight, with an aircraft that accelerates like this one!
  18. Of course, this was the first thing that came to mind - but why the nosewheel retracts and not the mainwheels? Surely if VLE is exceeded, all undercart remains extended?
  19. Whilst doing some test circuits, I noticed that, whenever I roll to port or starboard and let go of the HOTAS, the aircraft levels itself. Is this intended? I also noticed that when rolling and then returning the controls sharply to centre, the aircraft continues to roll some way (not just a few degrees). This might be normal - it's a very long time since I flew in RL, but it doesn't seem to happen so much in my other simulated aircraft (in DCSW). I'll see about getting a track if ness.
  20. I completed the start-up training mission, after which I went for a quick circuit. I did the take-off as per SOPs but when I attempted to raise the gear, the main wheels remained extended, whilst the front wheel and the leading edges retracted. I tried it several times with the same result. I then made a free flight mission in the editor and tried it again and all worked okay.
  21. Thanks, ricnunes - this will help getting to grips with the Huey
  22. Maybe because it's beta? I know other betas have been shown, but who knows?
  23. I use Voice Activated Commands for mine and it's pretty much the same, only I have entered commands "Eff One" to "Eff Twelve" to use whenever the available options are different. They are also very useful for when a command may not be recognised, for whatever reason. It's a real shame that ED don't implement voice commands for radio. Not as if it's something new or isn't available to the masses.
