chucky35uk Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Hi....I have a disaster regarding my track ir and cyborg joystick. Basically it was all working perfectly the other night then last night nothing...track ir and joystick not working. The lights on the track ir receiver are coming on as usual but when I get into the a10c...nothings working. I also notice in the settings page for the joystick....the lines are coloured red as though its not being recognised. This is strange as I have altered nothing. Any ideas? Thanks. :helpsmilie:
cichlidfan Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Assuming TIR and Joystick are working outside of the sim, which you did not say, I would start by deleting my Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\A-10 folder. The red lines in your joystick settings means there is a conflict or missing control definition. chucky35uk Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Thanks for quick reply cichlidfan. I have opened the dirs that you suggested. Do I delete the three dirs (headtrack joystick and trackir)? Do I recreate them or will the programs sort that Both programs seem to work perfectly out of dcs. Is this a known issue? Thanks again.
cichlidfan Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I would delete them all, the sim will recreate them with default settings. This means you will lose anything that you have customized but that has probably already happened anyway. The 'known issue' that I am aware of is that sometimes, somehow, controller config files get corrupted. The best tactic is to always have a backup copy of any controller profiles that you modify. chucky35uk Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Trackir joystick Okidoki I'll give that a try tonight and report back. Thanks for ur help..
peter Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Happened to me a few weeks ago, I just went into Options-Controls and cleared and re-assigned all the red entries, works fine now.
chucky35uk Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Track ir My worst fear was having to fully reinstall dcs...phew.
chucky35uk Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Track ir Well it's a disaster.....firstly I deleted directories that was suggested to no avail. I have run track ir and cyborg joystick with fsx.....these work perfectly. I have just deleted dcs world and a10c then re installed....still to no avail. What is happening here? It's obviously a hardware/dcs issue. One minute it was fine the next.....knackered. Please respond.
cichlidfan Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Delete/rename your entire Saved Games folder and then try it again. chucky35uk Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 track ir chichlidfan.....I would like to show you the route I am taking to get to the files you suggested deleting...I am using windows 7 64. c drive program files eagle dynamics dcs world config input aircrafts I have deleted (backed up) the full contents of the aircraft folder. It contains four lua files...base keyboard..modifiers..aircraft and base joystick. having done this....I still have no joy. Am I doing this right? thanks for you patience. :helpsmilie:
cichlidfan Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 You should not be messing with the actual program files. The files/folders you want to delete are in your Saved Games\DCS\config\input\A-10C. If that did not work the next step would be to delete/rename all of Saved Games\DCS. This will reset everything and, hopefully, fix it.
