Question about take offs with the AI

Is there any way to get the AI to join you on the runway for a tandom take off? If not what is the best course of action to wait for the group to get airborn.

They will only takeoff with you if the "Takeoff from Runway" option is set in the mission editor. When going from taxi to takeoff, they go one by one.

 

I just fly on the runway heading as slow as possible until they join up then go on my way. Telling them to go close formation will make them catch up faster.
