hello

I have recently been using freetrack, and have been happy with it, but a problem I have recently run into is that my mouse does not work for camera control, even when freetrack is off. I had this same problem in arma 2 and was able to fix it by disabling track ir in the arma options. The issue here is that DCS does not have that option, and if it does I do not know where to find it. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Do you have mouse interface ON in Freetrack?

Anyway the mouse should work but in competition with Freetrack cursor and although doable is annoying.

after uninstalling all tracking software i can finally move the camera outside of the aircraft, but the camera in the aircraft is still un movable

mouse interface shouldn't be selected.

do you see the yellow cross inside the cockpit? if so you should press Alt+C (please check the default first) to toggle mouse control instead of clickable cockpit

There is absolutely no need to desperately install and uninstall softwares. it never solves problems.

you have version 1.2.4 of the game right? so we can eliminate the tracker dll registration/location problem.

strange. I just stumble on a similar but opposite problem with SU30 mod... I don't have tracking in it.

anyway

for Freetrack DCS profile, mouse interface should be turned off so you avoid conflicting.

mouse should work only externally and freetrack should work only internally

is one of them working at all?

I hope when I solve my problem with the Su30 that has no tracking I'll have an idea for what is causing your problem. Usually when the tracking software is started the mouse is disabled in cockpit and if you try to move the mouse it will just move the camera few pixels and then appear "locked"... but if you uninstalled it... is strange.

that's precisely what is happening, before I uninstalled everything the external view would continuously spin, my next attempt will be to re-install facetracknoir, as I do not have any thing for free track on me at the moment, and see if it works.

then check joystick axes also... maybe you have them assigned to view by default... that's why usually view is spinning.

Mouse and control and Freetrack do not work hand in hand, As soon as DCS picks up the headtracker.dll file it automatically blocks out other inputs, e.g POV Hat or in your case mouse control. You can only use one at a time even if you pause or stop the programme.

Although you should be able to use your mouse to freely click in and around the cockpit so there shouldn't be a problem, I recommend just changing your Freetrack settings so you get comfortable and wont have to use a mouse to look around :)

EDIT: The head spinning problem is something that is downloaded with FacetrackNoIR / Freetrack which is Called VJoy ( Virtual Joystick ), Too stop your head from spinning un-asign them in DCS or just remove the Vjoy programme which will now be installed on your computer.

:D not always "as soon as DCS picks the headtracker.dll"... my tracking works with no problems for all planes beside the modded Su30... which for others works with no problem...

If you rename or delete the headtracker.dll (located in Mods/aircrafts/.... folder) in-cockpit mouse control would work.
