Hey all!

So I finally did it. I vowed to myself that I wouldn't get a HOTAS until I knew I was dedicated to DCS... but alas, I've been without it for two days so far (two more left!) and I've been addicted to videos, and the forum. I figured, that's proof enough that I really want to continue with DCS... and I... I got the x52 PRO with 1 year warentee from New Egg...

Wish me luck guys. I will update this post with my thoughts as I start to use it... really hoping I dont regret it. Guess I have 30 days to decide!

Congratulations, my one buddy once told me that if I kept going back to look at something, then I must really want it. I've never regretted purchases based on that criteria. I'm sure you'll enjoy the increased immersion with the X52 :D

Along with not reaching for my keyboard all the time... though I am NOT looking forward to setting everything up button wise... UGH!!!

Good stuff, my flight sim career started with a Saitek Cyborg 3d playin IL2 Sturmovick Forgotten Battles that was 12 years ago now.

Its was only when I bought an X45 that I realised I needed Track IR.

The year after that I decided I needed rudder pedals, then a G940, then Cougar MFD's, then a TM Warthog year after year so it goes:D

This year I realised I need a CH throttle Quadrant for Clod and I keep looking at the thing on amazon cos I never buy on impulse, but it would be far better for immersion:music_whistling:

If you want the best from DCS, now you need TIR;)

Had TrackIR for years... our stories are very similar! I started with FS2004, then moved to FSX with a Saitek Cyborg, moved to a G930 w/ TIR, then sold all of it and got my private pilot's certificate, left FSX for about 2 years while I flew IRL, and recently just came back to the sim world a couple months ago with IL2, re-purchased TIR, and a Saitek Cyborg. At the start of this month, I purchased every single DCS module at once ($200) and now, got myself an x52 Pro!

Thats a solid start! I`m buying Huey next week as a primer for learning the Black Shark which has always intimidated me.

Then eventually I`ll have to learn BVR which really really intimidates me, I must admit that since buying LockOn many years ago I have never so much as flown an Eagle, Mig or Su27.

Yeah, I've not touched the F15 yet, but definitely plan to when I get home tomorrow!

I've picked up the A10 pretty quickly!

Also, tip for the Huey... START SLOW!!!

The second you lift that off the ground, if you aren't ready for it, you are gonna have to really hang on for dear life.
