nigelmcelwee Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 it is odd that I get such low performance with a good reg. Does the preload radius really make that much of a difference if I have it set to max? I figured with six gigabytes of RAM on my video card and 16 on my motherboard I can max the radius out no problem..is that were some of my issue lies?? With preload, my experience so far is that just enough to eliminate ingame stutter is best. It'll speed up your load times no end. On my rig I sit just below halfway with 4gb ram and 2gb vram and it loads faster than an average IL2:ClOD mission. I don't know, but maybe preloading as much as possible would find a bottleneck, where a less amount of data stored with the loading on the fly would be smoother? Clutching at straws there.
