Autoupdate.cfg missing

Hi all,

 

I just installed DCS World today (v1.2.4.12913) and I'm having some issues with the auto update. Every time I load up I get an error (image attached below) saying that my autoupdate.cfg file is missing. I've checked the file location and it is indeed missing. Other than this I seem to be able to play normally (well, as normally as my boundless incompetence will allow :music_whistling: ).

 

Is there a default cfg file available? Am quite happy to create a CFG if someone could paste the contents of their cfg file here.... (I assume it's standard).

this is what my autoupdate.cfg has:

"arch": "x86_64",

"lang": "EN",

"modules": [

"A-10C",

"WORLD",

"KA-50",

"P-51D",

"CA",

"FC3",

"UH-1H"

]

}

I don't know why you're missing this file, it basically has language you're using, what modules you have installed and I assume arch means if you have 64bit or 32bit version installed.

 

As you say game still plays fine, I assume you have no modules installed?

 

EDIT: I've tried deleting this file and creating blank one with nothing in it and tried to run auto update or repair and both times it given an error... maybe try create one with this name and put in manually (use text from my post) and just leave modules you have installed see if that works

I've only got World installed, so I re-created the file using the following:

"lang": "EN",

"modules": [

"WORLD"

]

}

 

It seems to work and is updating now :)

 

No idea why it was missing, but it seems to be a simple fix :)
