Musi Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I purchased DCS: A-10C on steam because it was on sale and i read that you could use the steam key to activate the module for DCS World. But after downloading DCS World and the module when i enter the key it tells me it's invalid. Would it have anything to do with it being a different version than the one on steam? I noticed there was a previous version 1.1.1.1.
EtherealN Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 That key should work. I have seen a few reports so you do not appear to be alone with this problem - it is being investigated. What worked for me was launching a mission using the steam version of the game and then try to activate the game with DCSW. After that I applied this patch and the activation in DCSW worked. Hope this helps. :)
Musi Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Reinstalled DCS World and A-10C, i'm not sure if this is why it worked but when it asked if i wanted to update to version 1.2.4 i said no. It accepted the key this time but now i'm not sure how to force it to update to 1.2.4. EDIT: Never mind, it says it is version 1.2.4, god knows what it was asking me to update then. But its working anyway. Edited July 23, 2013 by Musi
Paganus Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 It looks for an update once every 24 hours automatically. You can run the updater from the Windows start menu as well.
