Hi Guys,

some Questions to you x52 Users out there. :( I have bought the Pro Version recently, and have a few "Problems" with it..

DCS seems to ignore a few of the Buttons and Scrollwheels on the X52. For example I try to map the grey Scrollwheel on top of the Throttle, to the Cockpit "Zoom" View for the KA-50...like the Mouse Wheel on external Zoom...but DCS seems not even recognizing that Wheel is there?! DCS even ignores the Button triggerd with that Wheel..If I try to Map it..nothing Happens.. So I mapped the little Slider on the Throttle..this works, but the View "shakes" arround heavily then...and that is pretty anoying:noexpression:

Any Ideas how to get DCS recognizing all the Buttons and Sliders on the X52, and mapping them "freely"?!

Ahh..and does anybody know, how to enable the little "Mouse" Thing on the X52 Throttle in DCS?

THANK YOU!!

I use the mini stick instead of the POV hat switches for looking around. The only thing that worked for me was to download the latest Saitek software from their website. Download only the control software, there is no need to download the drivers. Once you install the software, keep it running in the background when you launch DCS. Hope this helps, good luck.

for looking around I use Track IR :) But the KA-50 has a "pretty weak" 6DOF Cockpit compared to the A10 or the FC3 Aircraft..so a in-Cockpit-Zoom is a must have I guess..But the X52 is not doing what I want :(

But I will try the Software

To map buttons like the scroll wheel you have to use the saitek mapping program from their website. I have my scroll wheel for my zoom.

That program can be tricky, so keep fidling with the settings of said mapped buttons.

Problem is that by default, the scroll wheel is said as an mouse scroll wheel.

But the game does not see the X52(pro) as an mouse, and hence you can't map it.

To solve;

Install the latest SST driver software, and create a profile.

Whit the profile window active, scroll the wheel, it should snap to the correct position in the list for the scroll wheel.

Here you will see it functions as a mouse.

Right click and select Unprogrammed or Button.

This makes it an DirectX input, which the game DOES recognize.

~S~

(think "unprogrammed" is the one you need)

IMPORTANT.

Whenever you have made changes to a profile and saved it. right click the icon in the task tray and hit "clear profile".

Then load the profile again as normal.

If you don't do this the old profile whill still be loaded in the device memory, and cause it to look as if you changes are not working.

Instead, there just not loaded into the device yet.
