GodsPrototype Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Title says it all. I am able to play on 3 monitors but it looks kind of weird. First of all, the view is zoomed in quite far, which doesn't make it look as nice. Secondly, it seems as if the side screens don't align correctly as soon as I look upwards or downwards in the cockpit. I did bezel compensation, and it works, it's just that the side screens twist in a way when I look upwards or downwards. How do I fix this? Thank! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jay43 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Have you set DCS to 1 screen in options don't set to 3 as it just messes it up. Make sure resolution is the same as you have your screens set to. The sides will appear to be slightly stretched you just have to get use to that. Eagles may soar high but weasel's don't get sucked into jet engines. System Spec. Yeah I did that, it's just that I saw other people talk about editing the view.lua config file and changed the Field of View so it doesn't looked so zoomed in. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I can't help you there as everytime I try tinkering with those files I nerf the whole thing up so i stopped messing with them. Eagles may soar high but weasel's don't get sucked into jet engines. amos2006 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Yes you have to modify the snapviewsdefault.lua, i think its in DCS World/Config/View There you have to modify the default view [13] for each aircraft you fly with. Remember to use notepad++ to modify the files and also to backup the original file. you have to try wich fov works best for you and your resolution. i have 6000x1080 and use FOV 160 for A10C, but for other aircrafts you have to use other FOVs.

That's not what he is on about. Its not FOV you need to look at the Monitorsetup file and check out the topic regarding Dumbies guide to multi monitor set up. Don't mess with FOV until you have the monitors set up. Eagles may soar high but weasel's don't get sucked into jet engines. System Spec. The monitors were all setup and worked great in other games. This fixed it for me. I had a slightly higher resolution so I tweaked a bit and got to 190. Only thing is it takes a while to start up now. When I press fly and after it loads it shows the briefing and the "Fly" button, only the background is all blue for a bit and I can't click fly. Then after waiting a bit I can start flying and there is no lag at all, even on high settings. So I'm not sure what's going on with the blue background, but the FOV is good. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
amos2006 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) ahhh ok, about the buttons, i forgot to mention that, PeterP made a little modification to adjust the GUI to the multimonitor setup that will fix that, if you look for his posts you will see one in which he provides a lot of info about multimonitor issues and how to fix them. i´ll see if a i can find it and post the link later. EDIT: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84266 That post should help you. Edited August 16, 2013 by amos2006
