Marder Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Good Morning. Back in 2008 i bought Black Shark 1 through digitalcombatsimulator.com. There is only a "transaction id" which will not allow to activate on steam. It tells me "invalid Product Key" The same with the "DCS: Black Shark 2 Upgrade 1.2.4 (download version) ". When i enter the key it says: "invalid productkey". What to do? My Fing ID Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Unfortunately I'm not help but I am going through this too. I bought Blackshark years ago from Direct2Drive (now owned by Gamefly) and the serial number doesn't seem to work with Steam. The Blackshark 2 upgrade doesn't want to work either (of course that whole ordeal was a nightmare to begin with). If I have to I'll just wait for another sale and pickup Blackshark 2 for 75% off (my cat eats cords so my flight gear unfortunately lives in a closet most of the time thus no rush) but if there is a quicker solution I'd love to hear it!
EtherealN Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 BlackShark 1 from non-steam sources cannot be activated on Steam. BS1 och Steam uses a completely different system - Steam's own system - for keys. If you need to find the serial number, you can make sure to check the download page as well. Sticky has details: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=57556 Upgrade version of BS2 is unfortunately not possible to migrate into Steam either. It would require a solution to a few technical and practical issues that are yet to be figured out.
