I have FC2 & started with Lock-on 10 years ago. I debated getting FC3 for a while. I finally broke down and bought it tonight.

 

I just landed the Su-33 on the carrier and then took off again. It was a blast!

 

This game is gorgeous and the update is definitely worth it.

I would agree, while not perfect, FC3 is far superior to FC2.
