pitdesigner Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Well this is a long time coming, but this is my pit. Alot of credit goes to a few of the posters on this forum (too many to remember). Ill post some more pictures and details to come.
Hansolo Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Looks nice. What kind of monitor setup are you running for the front? If you go for an almost fully hardwired cockpit you might want to utilize the depth of the front to incorporate rotary encoders for HSI, ADI and altimeter. Looking forward to see your progress:thumbup: Cheers Hans 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album

nobrot Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Good looking pit, I really like the painting/texture for that well used military look. Real world pilot, budding virtual world hog driver... My Build Thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1855253#post1855253

pitdesigner Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Dont suppose you have the dimensions etc of the front panel? and are you putting a monitor behind the panel etc? I could give you my dimensions if you want, I got mine from i think dimebugs. Yup im using 2 monitors attached to the back of the panel, and using the awesome Helios software for the gauges and switch scripting.
pitdesigner Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Well, i got bored and took some pictures lol... Here is the start of the left panel, with the unpainted acrylic SAS panel on the bottom. Close up of the right panel, with added CDU buttons. Working HUD!!!!!! (Most awesome and finicky achievement yet) Close up of front panel, and placement of monitors. Landing gear lever switch in the up position. And the down position.
