JaseGill Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Hi all, Im just wondering if there are any other modellers in the forums? There must be a few others out there who fettle with plastic as well as with DCS :) I wonder if we could set up a sub forum for those who model either the ground or airborne types seen in DCS either now or in future? Flying Penguin Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Well I was until my boys came along last year, sadly my workshop is now a nursery and all my gear is relegated to the loft... :helpsmilie: Love the Millenium Falcon btw :D Here are a few of mine, all 1/48: 1/48 Saab J-35J Draken by Flying Penguin, on Flickr 1/48 Saab J-35J Draken by Flying Penguin, on Flickr Spitfire F.22 by Flying Penguin, on Flickr Spitfire F.22 by Flying Penguin, on Flickr Do-335a Pfiel by Flying Penguin, on Flickr Edited September 12, 2013 by Flying Penguin Per Ardua Ad Aquarium :drink: Specs: Intel i7-9700K, GTX 2080TI, 32GB DDR4, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E, Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2
JaseGill Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Very nice Penguin. The Draken is stunning as are the rest, I have wanted to do one of those for a while. Hasegawa? The Falcon is the 1/144 Fine Molds one. Cant stretch to the price of the 1/72 one even though I'd love to. Ive got the rest of the Star Wars Fine Molds ready to go, time though at the moment is an issue... J. Nothing added other than a set of straps, missiles from Weapons Set C and turned metal pitot tubes. It has to be one of the nicest, if not the nicest, kit I've made. Just be careful to match the intakes to the body exactly and you WILL need filler for the gun inserts. JaseGill Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Looks really good Penguin. Now looking for one that doesn't cost the earth, like all the Hasegawa do in the UK. Still looks well worth it and that bare metal underside just has to be done :) J. Even picked up their 1/48 F22 for silly (little) money. One slight catch is that it's this version: Nothing that some aftermarket decals and an Olympic swimming pool full of primer won't fix.... ;) Per Ardua Ad Aquarium :drink: Specs: Intel i7-9700K, GTX 2080TI, 32GB DDR4, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E, Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2
Pilotasso Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I got a small collection of LEGO star wars ultimate collectors, as well as numerous aviation 1/72 models. Love doing it but I got no decent space to show them up (away from the dust). So I keep 20+ models to assemble still in their boxes awaiting better days (moar mooneee). .
