Hello ;)

I have a little question for the Mi-8's devs, please can you tell me if in the future the Mi-8 will be available with the УБ‑32А‑24 ?

A great thanks in advance for this precious information, Skull

A rocket pod IIRC.

How does it look like? What can it do? Etc.?

Does anyone have a link or something? (copy&paste - to google it by myself - of cyrillic stuff doesn't work so well for me)

Hello,

The УБ‑32А‑24 it's one launcher UB-32 with 32 rockets and you can see it on this screenshot:

S05_Blocks.gif

And you see these weapons with this good video:

Many time code where you see this weapon: 1:04 / 2:26 / 3:56 5:10 / 6:00

Other explanations: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-5_rocket

I think that it's good weapon for our Mi-8 because because the Afghan Air Force (AAF) use this weapon and we have the repaint of AAF...

Bye, Skull.

UB-32A? Likely, as it is used on ANA Mi-8 on video. UB-32A-24? Very unlikely, since it's made for Mi-24 gunship, as the affix '-24' stands for.

Well I admit I know that Peruvian Mi-17 is able to be carrying UB-32A-24 but those one are modernised Mi-8 helicopters afaik.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw on video that it uses the housing of -24 rocket launchers too.

Helicopters don't fly, they just subdue the air.

Hrm ... seems that it is not planned:

1. Rockets 80mm (Б8В20),

2. Machine gun pods:

-23 mm-УПК-23-250,

-12.7mm and 7.62mm - ГУВ-8700,

- grenade launcher pods 30mm - ГУВ-8700.

3. Bombs 100, 250 and 500kg.

Guided missiles are not planning to implement for the DCS: Mi-8MTV2.

... but maybe that is not too much of a problem:

Does anyone want S-5 50mm rockets in Mi-8? I think i can make it. Aswell as other rocket pods like S-13, S-25. I expecting some problems with S-24 because there are actually 2 versions of them in DCS.
