Shapper Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Noticed this one the other day. Decided to do an engine shutdown in flight to affect a "fully committed" autorotation. While the engine instrumentation indicated as they should, the actual engine sound remained constant as if it was still running. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sobek Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Was it really the engine or the gearbox sound that remained constant? What happens when you shut down the engine on the ground? Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
