At the moment the game vanishes dead pilots in the cockpit rather than displaying a dead pilot.

 

It's not very important but I thought I suggest to implement that :)

 

Edit: Fixed with DCS version 1.2.8.27125 (pilot don't vanishes now)

I remember European Air War back in the late 90's early 2000's. When you put a couple well placed shots in the cockpit, you were rewarded with a red smear on the canopy. I thought it was also a nice touch that when you were the recipient of said well placed shots, the screen immediately faded to black. Rough stuff, those close range .50 cal bursts...

Issue fixed with DCS version 1.2.8.27125. Pilots won't vanish after being shot.
