bkrull Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) I hate to be a whiner about what is arguably the best combat sim made. I've enjoyed learning DCS' A-10C Warthog immensely. It has a steep learning curve that has been made steeper by the various issues I've had (and, from reading the forums, a lot of other people have experienced). And throughout this process, not a peep from DCS Customer Service. I really don't think the people at DCS understand that DCS keeps old customers happy and coming back and new customers flocking in. It's all about customer service, baby. I must be dumb, though, or an exception to the rule, because I now have every DCS module. I've experienced bugs in every one. My more major issues include: * I can't contact JTAC and now, even worse, ATC or AWACS or my Flight. In short, I have no radio communications . . .period. That's frustrating since I've been unable to learn how to enter coordinates in the CDU and other stuff I've watched in the YouTube videos. * Often, when I'm on a takeoff roll or landing or about to destroy my first bridge, the screen will zoom in all the way. All I can see is a few UFC keys. Makes for some interesting landings. My wingies have a vested interest in me getting this bug fixed since I've knocked them out of the game once or twice. * Sometimes in the middle of the flight, the sim will quit communicating with my keyboard--a Corsair that works perfectly in all other applications. Fortunately, I do have a HOTAS setup. * Really frustrating is the fact that about a third of the time, sitting on the runway, weapons set up and radio frequencies tuned (why, I don't know since they don't work) all fired up and ready to rock and roll, I'll shove the throttles all the way and . . . nothing. The engines thunder away but the plane just sets there. Has anyone experienced any of these bugs? Does anyone know of any fixes? I hate to be a whiner but the radio problem is a major issue. I've uninstalled and re installed DCS World about five times now. And did I mention CUSTOMER SERVICE????? Thanks for letting me vent.
