Greenies Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 hi, I finally got around to buying Flaming Cliffs, and the installation went through with less fuzz than I expected. Not a single error message. I clicked Next, next, next, activate, yihaa!, but then I realized that I didn't save my Activation key manually on my computer. I was too eager, and pressed the Activate button before I knew it :) Can I get into trouble since I don't have my activation key at hand, or do I have no reason to worry? I have used the program that takes a backup of the registry keys for FC, so I think I'm all set for reinstallations and such, but I don't know if there will come a day when I may be asked to provide ED or someone with my Activation key... Then I don't know how to get hold of it. Maybe StarForce has stored it in their database? Does anyone know? I want to get away, I wanna fly away. Yeah, yeah, yeah! - Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away
Harven Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Go back to the www.lockon.ru main page.. sign in.. go to downloads.. it should show your activation key next to FC. Err.. Serial Key..... is that what you mean?
192nd_Erdem Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 There is a small Activation key "restore" program in lockon.ru downloads. It should backup your current activation key you entered. So no need to write it somewhere before use :)
Greenies Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 Harven, you are referring to the Product key that is to be found on the Downloads page. I wasn't talking about that, but thanks anyway for suggesting it. I ran the program that saved the keys, so I guess I'm safe for now. I bought the game on Saturday the 21st, and I haven't even gotten around to flying yet. Spent all of Saturday downloading the add-on, the movies and textures packs, and the patch. Now I've just downloaded all the tutorials that Ironhand offers on his page, so I guess I'll watch those first, in addition to the ones that comes with the add-on. Before I can fly, I will also have to set up my Saitek X-52 (will I ever get air under my wings?? This is too much work :) ) I want to get away, I wanna fly away.
