To be clear on this, as I have never flown/played MP, let me ask this --

If I fly a mission in SP, I can fly with an AI wingman in my same flight. Tusk 1-1 and Tusk 1-2, etc.

If I fly that same mission in MP, then no AI wingman. I am just Tusk 1-1 (PLAYER FLIGHT). The wingman must be in a separate flight entirely, with it's own waypoints, etc.... eg Tusk 2-1 (CLIENT FLIGHT).

I think I am clear on that so far (somebody correct me if I am wrong here).

So now, what if:

(1) The client flight is the other side, say the Red side? Can I then have the A-10C (PLAYER FLIGHT) with an AI wingman?

(2) The client flight is another aircraft type on the Blue side? Can I have in this case the A-10C (PLAYER FLIGHT) with an AI wingman?

(3) The only clients in an MP game are controlling ground units or acting as Battlefield/Ground Commander? Am I good here having the PLAYER FLIGHT with an AI wingman?

Thanks guys for our patience and your guidance.

Actually...

"Client" skilled aircraft can have AI wingmen that spawn and despawn as the client does. It has to be setup in the editor with however many wingmen. Also the player won't have a choice in weather or not the AI spawn. So for some they might not want AI wingmen.

If you have a mission with a single "Player" skilled aircraft and any "client" skilled aircraft or Combined Arms role, then the player will be prompted to select the slot they want to use. The player skilled aircraft shows up in the list like the client aircraft do.

The only major difference is that with 'player' selected and no other client skill aircraft in the mission, the player will directly spawn into the "player" skilled aircraft without having to make the choice.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Hmmm, so I can have a standard MP mission, with each person flying as leader of their own AI flight?

The only limitation for MP, then, is that two players cannot be set up to fly in the same flight.... is that accurate?
