doog79 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 (edited) Bought the Huey last night. What an amazing bit of kit. I fly the odd heli in FSX but the flight dynamics in this thing are amazing. I know for a fact I will be a better and more usefull pilot in this thing compared to the A10 and I`ve not even looked at the manual yet lol Here is a few clips I put together from my first bit of target practice. Doogie :) Edited October 27, 2013 by doog79 Edited for crap spelling of Huey lol

Devrim Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Doog; At 1:09, while Huey was leaning to right, you used rudders to turn to left. This behavior created unbalanced flight a little bit. So, I'm not sure but it's not good act to me. I do this sometimes though... Is this doable or (I mean) is that a common maneuver by pilots? I have no idea if that's a dangerous state for the aircraft or not. I wouldn't try and fly for more than a few seconds in that state, it would get messy but a quick dab on the rudder to point the nose on target seems to work okay. I fly with simulation settings and haven't crashed it yet using the rudders to point the nose where I want on a gun run. I suppose when a heli flies sideways you would be leaning one way or the other and balancing it out with opposite rudder. I also think the bigger the chopper the more difficult and dangerous a move like this would become. Good question and not something I had thought about before. I`ve probably got a lot of bad habbits from flying the viper and little bird in BF3 and FSX lol :)
