Hi. A squadmate of mine bought the Ka-50 today and I was showing him the ropes. Once we got to firing the vikhr's he encountered a problem that I haven't once run into during all my time flying this bird (few months after the release of Black Shark 1), namely his vikhr pylons refused to align themselves vertically which forced him to raise the nose of his helo in order to fire. His K-041 and Weapon system switches were both on. I went through the entire startup process with him multiple times and my vikhr pylons would move just fine but his wouldn't. He could lock up the schkval and fire the vikhrs if he moved the sight manually but the sight itself was locked in place.

The 4 or 5 other squadmates that were on TS at the time didn't know either. The only suggestions were K-041 and Wsys, but with the former off your schkval isn't even on and with the latter you won't get a fire confirmation.

A search both on here and on google comes up empty. It's probably something obvious that he somehow missed, but I'll be darned if I can figure out what.

Help please!

Is there any chance he switched from automatic to manual mode? Its the switch to the left of the burst length switch.

That switch has nothing to do with the pylons. It's a launch override switch.

Doesn't sound likely that he'd actually flip any extra buttons I haven't told him about rather than forget one, but I'll keep this in mind the next time we try, thanks!

Right, I forgot about that, so that's not it either. Damnit.

Im pretty sure when you flip that switch it stops the pylons from moving. That or there is another switch to the left of the Laser on/off that is also another switch tat may affect it.
