moetman Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 hi - I have two DCS world installs. One using Steam and another where I have Flaming cliffs installed mainly because you can't install flaming cliffs 3 with the steam version (as far as i know). I bought Combined Arms on steam and now would like to have it on my standalone DCS install. Is this possible? Regards
cichlidfan Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Yes. You can get the key from your Steam Library, under DCS World>DLC, and use it to activate the standalone installation. However, if you have both versions on the same machine, and you have installed CA on the Steam version, it should already be activated for your machine and you won't need to retrieve the key from Steam. moetman Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 That's what I thought it would do but not in my case. Unless the modules are installed you wont get a chance to enter your license key ..
WhoDaresWins Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I like DCS World, I like the look of Combined Arms, but crikey do I detest Steam, I'll be avoiding that route.
Freelansir Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Hi, Maybe one of you can help me out. I have DCS P-51 installed on Steam and recently bought Combined Arms. However, I am having a difficult time installing it. Here's what is happening when I try to install from the download: As you can see I have the correct version #, but it won't install. And I'm puzzled by the "New Folder" thing. Any advice is welcome. Thanks
