Zabuzard Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Is there a way to order the ai in the own flight group to jettison their fuel tanks? I noticed that they attacked targets after a long flight without jettison the fuel tanks before. I wish I could order them to drop the tanks befiore engaging. I guess it would work with a lua-script executed at a waypoint which would be fine for me but I do not know the statements for that. Can someone help me out here? :)
Zabuzard Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Mh... seems that no one knows lua weapon release statements :D
Basco1 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Tell your flight to 'Engage Bandits' via the comms,I've noticed the first thing they do is jettison their tanks,so you can try this. It's not perfect,a workaround if you will, but at least you'll know they have got rid of the excess weight. Zabuzard Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Okay I'll try that but it would be nice if I could script that so it works also for ai-only-groups.
Zabuzard Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 Seems that this trick is not working if I tell them to engage e.g. ground targets.

Zabuzard Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 Well, does not work for me (as stated in Post #5). I'll ask a couple of friends if the problem is me or DCS :D
