Pilotasso Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Hi guys. While atempting to resolve some hard boot crashes I have been observing during MP mission loadup screen, I came acorss an accidental discovery. I always felt like disk tranfer at frenetic rates causes it to crash just before the message "waiting for server" disapears was the responsible for this. As someone explained there are memory read errors and timeouts. So I went to my hardware profiles and changed the option on the Pic below. I had it on by default. But a few days ago I decided to tick it off and let windows set transfer speed for HD. Heres the results: Before (default): -Crashes entering multiplayer sessions. After (off): -Crashes DURING MP gameplay. Aparently random. -Started to have rampant server disconect. -Slightly more stuttering than before. I just reversed the setting again and I have the same issues I had at the beggining. Server disconetcs are gone but I hear others keep complaining about it while I was fine for over an hour. What does Hard drive behaviour afect the games bugs??! o_O .
