Downloaded Trk files bugged

Whenever i download a Trk file from the forums to watch, it's almost as if the game is playing a different track from what the player uploaded. The player controlled aircraft seems to shoot at thin air and maneuver as though it's following enemies, however the A.I is never in there and always seems to shoot down the Player controlled craft.

 

Same is happening with Trk files from campaign missions.

 

Is this a known bug?

Track file issues is a known problem. In the case of tracks that you downloaded, differences in sim versions can additionally increase the likelyhood of faulty playback.

Thanks for the reply ciclidfan, at least that answers my question, however it's a shame tracks i save have the same issues (as well as tracks sent from friends with the same version).

 

Is there a known work around for this problem?

Not really. The shorter and simpler the track, the more likely it will replay correctly. Longer tracks with more going on are more prone to problems.

 

Also, it appears as though altering the speed of playback can also contribute to problems.

 

Unfortunately, I doubt we will ever see an improvement, as the problems seem to be inherent in the methods used to record/replay the track.
