fitness88 Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Flying the MIG 29-s I get random head swivel that keeps turning 180 degrees around and around until it eventually stops. Using the J-Stick POV not Track ir. I have custom snap views set up, any thoughts what's causing it? Thank you.
104th_Maverick Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I had the same problem in the F-15 but put it down to a problem with my stick as I dont use TrackIR. Any chance your using a Logitech 3d Pro Joystick? Any chance your using a Logitech 3d Pro Joystick? Using Saitek x52 pro, I just deleted the POV entries in DCS options as I have the same ones in my Saitek software...so far so good. Will post back if that's the cure.
104th_Maverick Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I use a Logitech Joystick with the Saitek x52 Throttle. I'll just be flying along minding my own business and the view snaps backwards or upwards and reverts back to that position everytime I move the POV hat switch. Total nightmare WVR combat! I flagged this up to the devs but then I put it down to something wrong with my stick as no one else had reported anything like it. I've found you can stop it by forcefully moving the hat switch around quickly for a second or two and it stops (may be joystick specific). Not happened to me so far in 1.2.7, if you can submit a track of it happening that would really help out! So far I haven't had a repeat of the problem after deleting the DCS options>controld>POV settings. I have the POV set in the Saitek software only. Edited December 26, 2013 by fitness88
Nage Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I use CH stick with Saitek X52 thrust and along with Saitek rudder Pro. Now, what i have found that by default i.e. the view is set to all three plus headtracker. So in game they can cause mixup. To fix all those default "wrong" settings that were duplicated i deleted the ones i didn`t need. So, check for those kind of double settings and erase the ones u don`t use.

Yes that's what I found as well, deleting the duplicate settings in DCS>options seems to have worked for me. Or conversely I could have deleted the settings in the Saitek software.
