AkheirAX Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 A quick search yielded only a single thread. Has anyone tested this or purchased it yet? I'm waiting on Oculus consumer version to be released hopefully with a good price point. But this device looks really good and an option for someone with a deep pocket.
Retsilf Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 As I have understood, these commercial VR solutions from some famous companies have all a very limited FOV.
don_sangria Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I have bought a cinemizer around 2 or 3 years ago. But that one did not had a headtracker unit, a far as i remember and the resolution of the screens were around 800x600 or even lower... I hooked it up to playstation portable and the result was horrifying: after 30 minutes of playing i put the whole thing away and never ever touched it again. - My eyes were hurting and tearing at the end of testing, i felt my eyes were constantly focussing and "searching the image" - The image was kind of "Wolfenstein 3D" graphics, you just count the pixels and the dark pixel in the center might be an opponent... - FOV is very limited and far away from an "in-game" feeling At least a very good point, in my eyes, which i have to mention: You can adjust the dioptrins according to your needs, individual for each eye from -2 to +2 dioptrin.
