I have noted with A-10A that to retract the air brake I must press the 'B' button twice. I have confirmed this with both 1.2.6 as well as 1.2.7-beta, but this is not the case with either FC1 or with FC2. Looking at the throttle quadrant it looks very much like the throttle of the A-10C and according to the manual it is a two position switch so I appears that it should not function this way. Can anyone explain to me why the air brake functions this way?

It is a three position switch.

Oh yeah fair enough...but the A-10A does not allow for variable setting the brakes. It is either all out or all in. In any case I will use SHIFT-B and CNTRL-B to work around it. :)

No, you can stop the extending brakes in any position if you press B the second time. The third press of B will then fully retract the brakes.

This emulates the brake switch on the throttle grip: for extending the brakes you hold the switch in position as it is spring loaded but for retrakting you can only switch it to the fwd position (not spring loaded).

Ah got it thanks! That would be tricky to do as it opens pretty quickly so I would end up fooling with it a lot. I wonder why they changed it from FC2 to FC3?

Thanks again! :)
