I'm trying to get Helios working with 3 monitors, one of which is a touchscreen. For some reason Helios insists on identifying my touchscreen as monitor #3, and if I create a profile that has buttons on touchscreen, the buttons don't work within DCS. If I move my buttons to monitor #2, they work. If I unplug one of my monitors, so that the touchscreen is now monitor #2 within Helios, the buttons work.

Therefore, I'd like to force Helios to see my touchscreen as either monitor #1 or 2. Is there a way to do this? Helios does not seem to be reading the monitor numbers from Windows, because according to Windows the TS is #1.

Mmmm i had that trouble to start with, an i think if my old memory serves correct windows sees the screens differently to how your gpu does for example my nvidia card displayed the screen layout for the surround mode of my 3 screens as screen2 and my 4th screen was labeled as 3, i think all i did was shuffle the screens around and change which one was the primary.

Perhaps someone else may have a better idea.

yep as far as i know you have to physically swap the leads over on the GC should work then.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. In order:

- I did try moving the screens around within Windows' 'Screen Resolution' menu but this didn't seem to solve anything in terms of getting Helios to see the TS as something other than monitor #3. And I can't change the 'primary' monitor without DCS then displaying on that screen alone.

- Swapping where I plug each monitor into the GPU didn't affect the Windows monitor number -- only the order in which I plug them in does that, and even after doing that I found that Helios ignores the Windows monitor numbers.

- Yes, I have tried 'Reset Monitors' within Helios, but I don't see any way to manually specify which monitor should have which number.

After some more testing, I found a solution that I have to admit to not entirely understanding:

1) Within Windows' 'Screen Resolution' menu, I arrange the primary (55-inch) monitor on top, 27-inch touchscreen on the lower left, and 2nd 27-inch on the lower right (similarly to how I have them arranged physically in my cockpit).

2) I open Helios and it tells me that the TS is #3. I then arrange my Helios buttons on monitor #2 (the 2nd 27-inch).

3) Back in Windows, I swap the positions of the 27-inch monitors. This is disorienting when I move the mouse, since the monitor that is physically on my left appears to Windows like it's on the right, and vice versa. But somehow, Helios now works correctly: the buttons appear on the TS and they work within DCS.

So, rather than spend any more time trying to figure out why it works, I'm just going to accept it and move on.
