PondLife Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Ed Our server still crashes every 2-3 hours, I've seen no improvement from the last 1.2.6 release. The issue may be the result of an application memory leak.... Example trk file attached.DCS_Crash.zipDCS-Crash-20140127.zipserver-20140128-055555.trk Edited January 28, 2014 by PondLife
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted January 28, 2014 ED Team Posted January 28, 2014 Useless report without track. Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. That road goes down and down. Можно держаться на одном уровне добра, но никому и никогда не удавалось удержаться на одном уровне зла. Эта дорога ведёт вниз и вниз. G.K. Chesterton DCS World 2.5: Часто задаваемые вопросы
PondLife Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Useless report without track. Attached.... perfmon sample interval was 60 seconds by the way. And no it's not "useless" without a track file. You can run a data collector on a totally empty server and still see the memory leak on any mission. Whilst there are obviously issues with specific functions and scripts, this is a more generic problem with the freeing up of memory. Whilst I understand there is no generic garbage collection with C++, there are best practices associated with the de-allocation of memory. Without the source code I can't really de-bug further, but that's not my job is it...;) Edited January 28, 2014 by PondLife
