Ajax...that sounds promising. I was aware off the 'Collective/Throttle' connection, it was finding the input that was puzzling me. SFAL, I'm not side-lining your suggestion. Merely looking for an easy solution.

Thanks for that help but it doesn't quite cut the mustard. When I select the Throttle line there is no parallel cell to select under 'X52 Throttle' as the only column of that nature is headed 'Saitek X52 Pro. If I try to add anything else to get some reaction to my Saitek throttle input all I can find is a long list of "Joy"s - whatever they might be. I should appreciate further help from you.

OK...I'm happy about mapping the POV controls and the buttons but I'd appreciate some help in getting the throttle to act as the Collective. Can't figure that out as yet.

I'm kicking off with this puzzle. Any ideas as to why my recent BS install opens up like this? The 'unregistered' ghost in the background doesn't show up when I do boot up the sim.

Installation challenge I've already installed and am using MS 2004 and MS FS-X. Both are running successfully. Yesterday I installed and activated a new copy of Black Shark and all appeared to go smoothly. However when trying to run the sim I found the splash screen was basically white - no top down view of the Shark in the background - and the 'clock face buttons' had no titling alongside them but were simply circular buttons. Furthermore when I hit 'Esc' to close it down everything just froze. Hence my cry for help here today. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks.

It turned out to be the disc itself. I've now got a replacement and all appears to be shuffling along quite happily. Thanks for the help along the way, fellows.

Flaming Cliffs challenges Thanks for your swift response to my fistful. I have managed to install it eventually, although just now I've uninstalled it to check over the results I might get with a return to Lomac. TR5 has FC included in its default lists, along with Lomac and Falcon, so I have tried setting FC as my principal sim there. I've also swapped around my several USB ports. The POV switch works perfectly well when I check it out via the Control panel that's found via the Task bar icon, AND it responds to the 'Test' check in the options page within FC but not when I'm airborne. PS It also works perfectly with MS FS 2004. Let's see...yep, I used the right shift key as well. It kicks off the laser until I let the key/stick button go then it immediately cancels itself. Warranty or replacement. That appears to be the only route open now. Any more thoughts?

Having bought the new disc in the UK, why might I be having these problems when the basic 'Lock On' and 'Falcon:Allied Force' both provide me with all I had hoped for... With FC my disc needs several tries to get it to install. Using my TrackIR5, this frequently is inoperative. The principal POV switch on my X52 Pro won't work at all, either internally or externally. With the 'Grach', when I try using the laser keyboard combination (Shift-O) it won't hold at all, or even if I try arranging up a different keyboard combination. Yet, as I've mentioned, with the basic 1.02 Lomac and Falcon, all the above work perfectly. Any ideas, folks?

Further testing has shown that the flaw is with my X52 Saitek Pro stick. With out any pre-programmed profile there is no problem with that Shift-O input. With ANY profile I've done there is. back to Saitek.

No...that didn't work either. What can be causing this glitch? Perhaps I need to reassign that key input to a different one. More thought required.

In A-G mode with the Grach, when I select the Shkval TV, it appears as expected. However, when I then try to add in the laser with Shift-O, whilst it appears on the HUD as L, as soon as I let the keys go, the laser switches itself off again. Doesn't show any signs of needing to cool down either. If I check that the keys are operating with Wordpad, all appears as normal. Any helpful solutions to this irritating problem or do I have to give up with the Su-25T? Many thanks for any help.
