Hi Marcelo, I'd say your best bet is to find out who the Heatblur Devs are.... they will be much more likely to be able to help with such a technical question. The rest of us are only looking at building the cockpit portion! If I remember correctly towards the very beginning of this thread (first few pages) one of the guys was commenting, it may be worth looking through to see if you can find the conversation and possibly message him directly or tag him in a post. Sorry couldn't be more help.

Hey Elo, Did you by any chance get the measurements for those ribbon gauges? I've got an idea, and I'd like to try something but I could do with the sizes to make sure it's gonna be viable. I'm particularly interested in the length of the gauge part (what would be the ribbon) Thank you

I'm gonna have mine as separate left/right/centre parts that can slide on the floor, rather rather than one big unit. CNC came back to me... It was a little more than I thought! Almost £400! Sod it though, I'm doing it. Pick it up next Thursday.

How did you get on with your week off? Much progress? I'm waiting for a local CNC company to give me a quote for cutting the ribs. I'm anticipating it being fairly reasonable and thinking £250 is probably the most it's gonna be. I'll still need the pedestal and seat doing, but I have already started the seat with the jigsaw so probably will just do that by hand. I'll let you know once I do. Getting impatient though as they said they'd get back to me on Monday

So I spent some time adjusting the SKP file from Ausmumbles and I've sent it off to a local CNC shop.... Just waiting for them to get back to me with a price..... Who knows, maybe this time next week I'll have a Tomcat jigsaw to play with!!

Hey! Welcome! I personally think its a great idea collating all the information into something that is easy to navigate and use. There is a lot of fantastic information on here but it can be hard to find what you're looking for. I have recently spent a lot of time jumping back and forth looking for particular things that I know I've seen somewhere or other! Open Hornet has a website does it not? Personally have zero experience coding/website building but I'd be happy to chip in with anything that I could help with. good to give back to a community that has given so much.

Haha! Definitely been a couple of years at least for me. Always seems like everything else takes priority, annoyingly. I've got 6 days off coming up after these shifts so I'll be calling the local laser/CNC shop to see what they can do. Might also have a play with the laser cutter and get some more panels cut/engraved. I've got the files for the tomcat throttle somewhere too so may start 3d printing those, although I had thought about trying to get it done by a metal fabrication place for the weight/feel/durability. I've not even been on the pc in the last 6/8 weeks. Is it possible to miss a virtual plane?!

Ahh awesome! love seeing the progress that everyone is making. Never considered having it laser cut.... might actually look into it. I've printed a few bits, done some designs for panels for the laser cutter and other bits for 3d printing, but i'm no where near this stage. Productive use of my break time at work coming up!

ah, that looks great! how much ply did you end up using? i've used mumbles files and taken the measurements from that best i could. it was time consuming! How did you convert the sketchup files into something that could be used by a laser/cnc cutter and was it expensive to do? sorry loads of questions!!

Excellent! Very well done!

@BULLITT83 I've been looking into some stuff, and maybe a good solution for the slip indicator would be a screen export. I've been watching various bits and bobs and saw a tutorial about screen export that is really good. I'm off work tomorrow (and my 3 monitors have arrived!!) so I'll be having a play... I'll try this out, and if works I'll report back.

Bullitt, Mumbles, Thanks a bunch!! That's awesome. I had guessed at around 110mm height and whatever 9.25" is in mm for length! Looking forward to getting on with this. probably next part I'll mess around with after this is the fire handles, 3D printed of course, Just got some yellow PLA and some more black delivered, annoyingly though I need to re-tram the bed and I'm working for the next 4 days. Then the Mrs has decided we're going away for the weekend, and then my old man wants to go fishing before I go back to work. Definitely have to try and squeeze a couple of hours play time in somewhere. Anyway, bed time for me, thanks again, much appreciated you sharing your files.

Does anyone have dimensions for the ACM panel front please? I'm working on TLAR but, don't seem to be able to get it. Once I've got the front part designed in Inkscape, I'll share the Files. I'm also working at making an accurate looking switch for the Gun rate, SW cool, MSL prep and mode buttons. I was watching someone do Korry buttons/switches for an Airbus or Boeing simulator and I thought that I could use a similar design. I'm basing it on a square momentary switch and two LEDs per button. I was thinking about small custom PCBs too, but I think it would be better just doing it with those copper boards with holes in. Guess that would be more accessible for other people too
