thanks for the insight guys,i already have bs but i m having trouble learning what all the knobs and switches do.i was just wondering if lock on would give me more of an understanding of all of the insterments.i don t when to to hit and turn switches and knobs.

i got it on game mode,can i change the controls in game mode

when i first started playing this game i got blitzed with missles like crazy.i didn t know about the countermeasure system because i thought in game mode that you wouldn t have to mess with anything in the cockpit[boy was i wrong]i just tried to keep on the move and that only worked for so long.i looked into the controls and found out by pressing the insert button that it launch a flare.that helped out a little but it became difficult,so i started messing with the panel. can someone tell how set it up for situations like that,i can t figure out what the buttons do.at one time they would launch on their own and out of both sides.i tried watching the training video but he didn t explain how to use the panel.thanks

i ve got this weird situation with the keyboard controls.they are not what they say they are in in the options.it says my collective is num+ and num_ but in the game they are the q and a buttons.i tried to clear them and put them back in but nothing is changing.can somebody please help

i think its the 3rd mission,i played it over and over and not it didn t say mission complete once.the last time i played it i won a medal,can somebody tell what i have to do.it says in the briefing eliminate threats in the city and didn t leave out nobody and still nothing.thnks

can you check your objectives during flight?i m asking because on some i will check to see if mission is completed and it will say not complete but there is no one left to kill.thnks

will they be adding new campaigns where can download georgian oil war1.1 missions.

is it for dcs if so i don t see it where you download patches and the georgian oil war missions.i don t see nothing about campaigns.

is there a way to check the status of your mission or objectives because i ve played the 1st 2 missions and i received a medal on the 2nd mission.so how do you know when a miision is a success.

i ve been getting this message just on 1 mission so far,i already searched other post and the ones i read say it won t even let them play the game at all.if anybody could assist just let me know what to look for. thanks

patches do you have to reinstall the game for the patches to work?i ve only played single player,if not how do i know if the patch worked.the first patch said something about some kind of different weapons,how do i use them. thnks

i played all those and the only one i liked was hawk,that it is one great game.i m looking for a game similar to that on the pc,like arcade style.i ve been getting into dcs and all i can say is wow.i don t think i ever seen a game so realistic,this is the first flight sim i ever played.is there any missions recomended for a beginner.thnks

i m just curios whats the average of people playing dcs?i m 26 and i just tried this game and i don t know if its because of cheap graphics card but its just to slow to keep me interested.my dad like 50 and i we are new pc gaming,he hasn t played anything since the commodore 64.we just got our 1st pc a few months back and i found this game for him, now he is hooked like i am on my console.i m also curious if there is any arcade style flying games out there for me play. any opinions what kind of graphics card would be best to look into and do you think it would improve the gaming experience of this game.

i just tried this and the device manager reconised it but it still wouldn t come on.i went to the troubleshoot thing and it said to try to use the secondary monitor as the primary and i was thinking,will this work even though the monitors have different types of plugs[the big white one and the little blue]so i tried it the monitor came on and i got the same message from post above.i gonna try looking into that video adapter or cable,if you got anymore suggestions i m all ears

i m trying to use the dual monitor feature on xp.i plugged in both monitors,the big white one and the smaller blue one.when i turn on the computer it says plug the monitor cable into the add-in graphics card connector.it also says this may require a video adapter or video adapter cable.can somebody show me what this is and tell me where i can buy it. thnks

2 video cards needed i m sorry if this is a noob question and sorry about asking so many questions.i ve tried the search function as well but no luck.are 2 video cards required to use the dual monitor feature.

i just dont understand the editing option.lua files.i read that it won t run in fullscreen mode with windows 7,not sure i read it right but is that what it said.i got another question that it didn t say anything about.can i use a laptop for a secondary monitor ? they are both xp ,this is a different computer.

i already tried searching through the forums and don t understand a bit of it. if someone could explain in simple basic steps,please do.both of the monitors are on and working,i can even drag the game from monitor to monitor,but i just can t get the cockpit on one and the other stuff on the others.please help
