Take the MiG21 or F14 pull the stick on a heavy turn .. you'll see air friction buffets retalted to a visual effect corresponding to a turn etc. .. well this can be applied to turbulence as well but they are not at the moment.

Interesting to compare with other sims with out saying names.. but DCS is great far better than others regarding the systems implementation .. and this is not in question.. but it is the most arcade alike of all of them in the atmospheric effects onto the the plane and that should be better.. Now i am going to retest one ww2 sim with a North African name that actually has both.. atmospheric and systems within. This is a good topic

For now I am investing on the other good ww2 ww1 sim.. dcs store is in pause for me. With the new up coming jet sim in the horizon DCS now working on a dual processor mode.. not impressed.. dcs need to react fast and make this possible

Not offensing anyone here but it's the worse of all simulations.. all are becoming great but that missing component which is one of the most important is missing.. and kills everything.. And i think if you really try tonunderstand you'll have the same thought.. now the ones who do not see that its because they live games and complex systems and feel ok with.. but for the ones who are looking for a flight combat simulation with real8sm flight physics at list effects DCS is not it... yet.. Try to recreate this like the video above with DCS.. you ll have much more chance to do it in the other sims.. I am going to be banned or bashed but what I say is the truth.. in DCS if you want some feeling you will have to push turbulence very high or to the max to have some feeling but it will feel like you are on a boat.. and this is why i wrote that DCS was a Ship simulator.. maybe the first engine was.. i do not know.. it is time to require it .. now that that we succeeded to ask for a multicore support.. ( .. i bet it will be only two cores ) We need to really demand this.. and yes it will be real good.. but not how it is now..

The discussion started maybe as a sounding rant but it is not.. what i really wish is to give a feed back for pilots how never flew in RL those can of fast aircraft. And can we help .. setup.. modify forva best feeling.. I am sure it will feel more difficult in virtual in many areas but much more realistic while utilizing VR . Not in many cases in RL you can feel shakes etc not on the stick but through your whole body and vision, due to fuselage, wings, tale's feedback which in pre fbw is extremely important.. in some area in RL is easier mostly with the visual depth etc... what to do to be able to help with this..? a collective brain storming.. not a rant or pushing off anyone. if i can express myself correctly.. i really think we are all open to this. And as community we could help to advance in the right direction.. remember when at the time We started to mod textures terrains and bases.. I did .. Mustang did.. .. adding objects as well.. then I moded a 6dof implementation into su25t.. clouds shadows etc.. this pushed ED to see what we all wanted.. and look now.. works

Yes good.. i teresting to see if those data vould be tranmitted to effects as vibrations buttets etc.. ( same for engine magement .. more feed back for best fine tuned which we alll do in the air) Thanks to do so.. I know i made 8 years ago pedals using a microsoft steering wheen engine and componants.. and place them into rudimentary pedals home made and yes i had FFB on pedals but i eliminated shakes and left the forces.. as i was using also FFB stick.. felt much better .. for forces to apply.. on older gen aircraft you push and pull

Agreed yes exactelly .. the moderns jets are exactelly made for yes.. only to me differ is thatvsince I know Flankers and lockon from start and the others .. the plan was to actually make the flight much more realistic that is why the Su25T was at start.. than by interest the weapons got much better... good.. this is a talk with the Dev for the past two decades.. which i as well helped in cases. Yes I do prefer the ww2 ww1 and earlier jets due to real experiences.. having lost friends in FBW aixraft like Mirage 2k and tests friends pilots alas. This is where my experience cone from.. started as Moto racer and on a bet got involved with some fantastic pilots that took me unders their wings.. Started from day one on a Yak9 #01 til the best of all tbe #08 which today #01 became red. And then much many others etc.. and early Jets.. soviet. Just a fast say. But i always was involved in flight sim since day one .. etc etc. I hear what you say and yes correct.. thank you.

Important to read the actual txts not what you think.. this is not a matter of the aircraft FMs.. not at all here.. but the basic of atmospherics stimulations or affecting the aircraft.. maybe visuals effectcs like the buffet of harder turns on F14 as an example is good.. really in real life it feels like contcrete scrapping.. si i do appreciate that touch.. a lot..

Flying is not a priority while flying jets.???. well humm ok .. that is why I was saying that it is good for weapons systems.. but if the atmospherics effe ts were more implemented you all will have a much more fun flight... seriously Yes multicires etc is a must.. again we all want the same at the end just different priorities.. but imo flight.. weater atmospheric is the first.. yes Ai need a serious TLC .. not just on dogfights but just in flight formations would very beneficial some love and realism.. which will make flights so much better

I forgot that arguing with only virtual pilots that always know better is a mute.. just take it and learn. IL2 as a better flight and turbulence feeling .. that is a given period. To me a as flight simulator the flight comes first not the weapons.. I wont give up on DCS but listen to this ,, DCS is behind IL2 and FS2020 there is no arguments in flight and the FM performances are not in question here.. . just take it .. So we all agree that for now DCS is a Weapons system "Simulator" and for example IL2 and FS2020 enter in the Flight Simulator category and combat.. No leaving .. lower your ego.. LOL.. I am sorry to break your dream about DCS and I hope that it is just for a short time.... but if no one open their mouth nothing will be made to change that.. I repeat.. DCS atmospheric physics are the worse quite similar to War of Thunders and I am not joking. Ad the last thing I will say is If you want to learn or play with weapons.. radars systems DCS is the best you can have on your PC right now.. there is no doubt.. and it is good and getting better ... now to fly... get into IL2.. no button to press just key biddings but the flight feeling is far better and for the cruising and navigations flight FS2020.. we should all basically agree and ask for the next 2 weeks of update on DCS atmospheric and not necessary a rainbow.... But make no mistake I Iove DCS since Lockon but I love to have the flight on Il2 and FS2020 to fulfill the flight needs.. ( even if they have as well some issues) It's great that we have Virtual pilots now and we are simmers as well so share the passion.. so lets push the Dev I will try again IL2 Blitz I think it has the most complete effects of all.. VR is coming into it so I hope for good things for us all. But I see always guys here talking of Il2 and flying.. just remember that.. for now we are all on the same boat and many many of us have those 3 sims and switch depending the mood .. but next time when you fly IL2 think about it.. feel it. It is not about aircraft FM..
