Hello all, I am building a new PC tomorrow, and I was just wondering if I can move the Eagle/Dynamics DCS folder to one of my new hard drives and then reinstall DCS world to that folder, instead of having to re-download everything. I do not have DCS world through STEAM or it would be pretty easy as that is how STEAM works, but I was wondering if there is a way? thanks

Never mind, I just used to old DOS commands to get me there and now it's updating!! thanks brother!!

Hey y'all, I'm pretty tight on HD space atm, this is probably a stupid question but I need to know before going forward, to install the Open beta do I need to uninstall everything 2.5.5 and just redownload everything to use the beta? OR is there a way of updating 2.5.5 TO the beta? Bottom line, I have 2.5.5 installed and rock'n, but I want the beta to mess around with the new F85 campaign. low on HD space, looking for best way, new HDD not an option right this second. thanks

Cool, I have the saved games folder copied, I see the DCS folder in there so I know this is the right one, but I don't know which modules are the oldest. My first was A-10, then Flaming cliffs 2 (I have 3 now) then the P-51 Mustang. So everything after that "should" be pretty new. I'll just try to deactivate everything I am able and then uninstall the DCS world. thanks man!

Hey y'all, I know this has probably been beat to death but I want to make sure this goes as easy as possible. So please bear with me. I am building a new PC tomorrow, got a new i9-9900k, anyways I have the DCS World v2.5.5 installed right now with all my modules. Do I need to reject/backup any licenses or do anything special before formatting my drives and installing it into my new system? OR, Is there anything that will make things easier that I can do ahead of time? I think the last time I re-installed DCS was back in 2017 when I did a clean windows installation. thanks for any help/advice.

Very Cool, I just added that little app to my desktop. This also work with my FSX so I'm a cappy hamper! So this resets every time I shut down my PC or restart it? Actually that's kind of handy in a way, start fresh every reboot. Thanks again man!

Howdy Korn thanks for the help. for the record I have CH CM 4.55 I just went through and created a profile (I think), and made sure everything was centered, I also use direct mode. I'll give it another try and see if it works now, thanks man. I am wondering if my controllers are supported by the DCS sims, I have the following: 1.CH Products Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals ( 300-111 ) 2.CH Products Pro Throttle USB 3.CH Products USB Combatstick 568 with 8-Way Switch & 128 Programmable Functions I just can't seem to get anything to work properly, I set my breaks and rudder to my pedals and I get no response with my rudder and when I hit my breaks the ailerons go hard left and stay there. I set my throttle to the throttle slider but throttle won't respond at all The flight stick works.... I am just on the axis for now till I get them working, I cleared all the other controls for each axis and then set them. Do I need to/or can I download a preset profile? I'm stumped, I use this setup for FSX (thousands of hours of flight time) and all my other flight sim games (IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover and Wings of Prey) and everything works properly so I'm more than sure it's not my controllers. I also tried to download one of the tools (Clear Calibration Utility) in the sticky above to give that a try but it says "page cannot be found". I hate to bother people with this but I am truly stumped, are there any plain English easy to follow guides that I could follow or am I just screwed with my controllers? thanks for any help, and if ANY other info is needed to sort this out just let me know and I will provide it. howdy y'all, I am reinstalling everything and adding some new stuff and have a quick question. Note:I have a retail disk set of Lock On Platinum, it includes the Lock LO:MAC and FC2 that is not installed at this time. I am starting with a clean hard drive. I also have bought FC3 and several other modules and want to install everything into DCSW, I just noticed that FC3 "No longer requires LOMAC copy to be installed". Question (and just to be absolutely sure), So I am good to go by starting with DCSW and can install everything, including FC3 without LOMAC, in any order? Thanks in advance for any guidance, and sorry for the new guy question but I have been away from DCS Flight Siming for a long time and want to try to get the install done right the first time if possible. PS: Finally got a very nice CH Throttle/combat stick/peddles and am ready to give it hell!! :pilotfly: thanks again

Howdy everyone!! I have a quick question, I've been away form A-10c for a year or so and I just decided to get back into it. I have the downloaded file 1.1.1.1 (4.5gb) on my hard drive, and I now see that there is a new file 1.2.4.12913_186 (1.05gb) and a patch 1.1.1.0 (1.82gb)? My question is what exactly do I need to download and install? (I have the newest DCS Game World thing downloaded last night as I'm assuming this new file needs it) thanks!!

I bought the A10c game so I am assuming I must have registered on the DCS site , I do have Lock-On/Flaming cliffs but I bought the disk(s) at Amazon so I never registered on that site. But I will make another account with my same Login and see how that works out , I wonder as i do have my game key from my original purchase (luckily I copied it and took a screen shot when I bought the game as I got no email from my purchase and cannot login to the store) I should have no problems getting the final release of the A10c Sim and/or getting it to work correct? thanks for helping an old gamer out and again sorry to be so dense , JBB EDIT::: Ok , I tried to register at the site and it says I am already registered (see attached 1) , then I logged in right there and I am able to see my purchase and then tried to access support , which gave me another login screen which said I am not registered??(see attached 2) apparently I am just not familiar with how this site works , it seems it is nearly as difficult to maneuver as the A10c game..lol :megalol: thanks for the help Panzer , as I can see my purchase now I feel a lot better so I will just keep trying to figure out how the whole site works and is tied together on my own , I think it's just different from what I am used to. for me this problem appears to be a PEBCAK..lol thanks again man , JBB

I must be slow or something as I am having the same problem , I bought A10c from the ED website and logged in with the same user name and password I use here at the forums. But when I try to log in at the store or support site here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58801 or here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop&lang=en I get this same response "incorrect name or password". If I click on the "Forget your password", It asks for my e-mail address and the I get an answer that there is no one with that e-mail address in the ED site. I never got any email for my purchase and apparently it did not save my ED store/site login. I see 159th_Viper's response to the original posters request but the site posted is no help....because I can't login...lol Am I making sense or am i just crazy? As I was given access to the Beta forums after my purchese and my login here at these forums still works so I am somewhat confident that the site(forums) does recognize me as a customer but without a login there is apparently no way for me to contact support if I have a problem. thanks for any further clarity on this and I am very sorry to be any kind of a bother , I am still trying to get used to this site and how it works so I can be a member in good standing of this community. thanks again and Happy Holidays!!:pilotfly::D PS: I'm hoping this will not affect me downloading any further beta updates for A10 or the final game?

Nwe to A10 beta question: I'm sorry if I sound like a total noob but , By saying "any directory of your choosing" does this mean any directory in the A10 folder? or any directory peroid? I have no idea how this works.

Yeah I thought it was funny that I could fly the F15 in LOMAC and the A10 (AWESOME game BTW) in my new DCS A10c game and then this one didn't work , BUT drivers are funny things and all 7 of my speakers work with this old driver soo like you said...if'n it ain't broke don't fix it. I do like the new Nvidia drivers though , I was playing some ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead this weekend..on ALL high detail and it was incredible!! I am a graphics and sound junkie!! lol thanks again for lend'n a hand sir!! I'm off to fly some quick F15 missions with some new sweet graphics!! (then I gotta read all this stuff about the A10c , it took me an hour the other night just to find out how to lock on a target and fire a Maverick!! , just about wore out my Pause/break key! LOL)

OK , I removed the XonarD2 driver and ran DC.Net for C-Media Audio , I then put the last driver from ASUS on and ran DXdiag , where it says WHQL it says "n/a" but it does not give the not signed error. AND the game runs!! lol The only difference I could see from this driver to the newer one is the newer one adds a right click menu to the tray icon which I will never use. but check out this dxdiag I am uploading now (below) I am going to report this to ASUS...not that they will care but I'm gonna do it anyways and post it in the ASUS Xonar forums. THANK YOU for the idea of cleaning out that driver , sometimes newer drivers does not always mean better. PS: I have played a bunch of games this weekend and this week as I am finishing up Fallout NV (120hours:D) and Splinter Cell Conviction and I have had no other problems with this driver , thats just strange. Yeah I know my sound drivers are not signed and its a bummer , but I have an ASUS XonarD2 sound card and for the past 3 years (since the cards launch) ASUS has not , and stated they will not , release a WHQL driver , and believe me I have complained but they insist there is no need. But other then that I'm more then sure my system is healthy , I played both A10c and LOMAC last night and then played Battlefield BC2 for about 3 hours (which I play hours on end nearly every night) with no issues. I literally have somewhere around 100 games , both in STEAM and EA downloader and none of them have given me problems with sound , this sound card is better than any sound card , including my X-Fi which is a POS , I have ever owned. But just to be sure I will uninstall my sound driver and then reinstall it , I have a registered version of DriverCleaner.net and its fully updated , do you think I need Driver Sweeper or can I use the DC.Net. I will find and download Driver Sweeper just in case. Thanks for you help , I wonder do I have the latest version of FC2? it says 1.2.1.0 , I have looked but I don't see if there are any patches or updates on the site. thanks again for helping :D , I'll reinstall my Sound driver right now and try it , I also have an older driver that I can try that is not WHQL signed BUT doesn't give the DXdiag not signed error for some reason. Hello everyone just received my copy of Lock On Plat today and installed both Lock On and FC2. I'm having a bit of a problem so I hope someone can help. Lock On works as it always has (I have an old copy of LOMAC that I uninstalled before installing the one I just got today) I can start the program FC2 , I can set my options , and when I go into Quick Start it crashes with this error: then after I close this error window it then goes to the mission debriefing? I can then just close and exit FC2 altogether , so it is NOT a hard lock error. I did not see a way to do it on the order page so I assume no (if I am wrong please tell me and I will do it again) , But I only use Paypal even on my STEAM purchases. Its my B-Day and I was going to treat myself to Flaming Cliffs 2 (which I can get on D2D) and the A10 sim but I can't find the A10 sim anywhere but here. I hope this is not a touchy subject and I have been scanning the forums for about 30 mins trying to see if that has been asked recently.
