  1. lod models, are models with lower polys that are renderer after some distance, thats because at 1 km of distance you can't notice details but lock on draws it anyway (and that eats cpu)....for example: f16a.lom 200k polys.... draw till 200 meters of distance; then f16a-lod1.lom 100K poly.... draw from 200 meters of distance to 600 meters f16a-lod2.lom 30k poly..... draw from 600m to 10000m hope I've been clear with my explanation and my poor english :P
  2. For me, as it is right now it's ok... now the texture is smoother enaugh. And if you increase the polys it will be necessary to add to the mod some "lod" models.... It's my simply opinion btw, nice job mate!

  5. hey guys, I've found a little problem with the scud model. Just try the mission that I have attached, look that the ground vehicles like tanks, cannot damage the scud.... but take it easy, I also attach a mod to "fix" this little bug. It is modman 7.3. I really doubt that this is the problem, because I don't have the same "bug" Zakatak : when I back to home I will upload the models of the su-25 (.lom - including LODs) and will upload for you, so you can check that your models are not corrupted. PS: wich os, gpu and driver version do you have?
  10. I highly recomend that you use the next configuration at your video card to get the best quality results: AA to at least 4X or 8Xs it's ok AA mode: supersampling Antisotropic filtering: 16X and Mipmap details: High Quality and at fc2 options: texture quality: high try with this

  13. I have the same addons and I have edited this file to improve the framerate also with this mods (the original mods don't edit this file, for that reason i have done it) check it out a tell me if you notice any framerate change.... aap
  14. it is only a .txt.... just in case make a copy of your original ModelLod.txt file (located inside the Bazar folder) you must overwrite the original file for the one that I give you PS: any problem that you have post it or sendme a PM. hope it helps you aap ModelLOD.txt
  15. yes you can.... if you want I can attach the ModelLod file that I have edited... I have personally tested all the models to avoid any issue and get the best frame rate increment. whatever letme know aap
  16. In my case with sp3 never worked :S I have returned to xp32 sp2, and still won't work... I have installed visual c++ 2005 and 2010; DX9 (lastest from microsoft page); dot net 3.5 sp1+hotfix; .... maybe I'm forget something???? Kegetys: Can you tell me the name (or print screen of) all the files that you have inside the bin folder???
  17. maybe must search for another smoke that fits better to a desert terrain..... I don't know or if it's possible to edit the .x files

If you are talking about the "smoke-dust for desert mod", this is made for spooks2k1, because he is looking for a more like desert somke... asking to your question, this file works for ground vehicles when are off-road, and for the landing of aircrafts. In the mod details I mention that the bad thing of use these specific type of smoke (that one chosen by spooks2k1) is when an aircraft land the smoke cloud it's too big. ps: here is the original mod ->>> http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1110482&postcount=17

  21. spooks2k1: the smoke generated by ground vehicles is the same used for the landing of aircrafts... so, you can use this smoke that you are showing but when you land with an aircraft it will appear this smoke.... I'd preffer to improve the smoke of touchdown more than the dust of ground vehicles. PS: I will search the file for this smoke and let you know regards aap

  23. the lazer heats up... you must turn it off when you're not using it, or after use it for a long time turn off and let it get cold and the you can back to turn it on.
