So I have heard that the flaming cliffs and simple radio have been the top mods, but are there any more good ones other than them, also are there any mods for the F14?

Alright so I am attempting to learn how on earth to use the LANTIRN pod because it is one of the few things I haven't been able to learn. I am slewing the pod and attempting to try and track an object but ever single time I slew the pod moves to a random position, for example I am attempting to move down, the pod slews up a few degrees then starts to move down extremely slow. Same goes for every single direction, and every so often it switches directions that it moves when I try and move, please help.

Yeah that worked, I don't know how on earth it got the axis backwards but now it does work, thank you. I had the F14 Tomcat

Alright so today I found something super weird, I was attempting to do a cold start when I was taxiing and the aircraft was just super slow, like it required afterburners just to even start rolling, brakes are off, foot pedals are working and aren't causing any problems. It is almost like being in the grass everywhere I am where it is super slow and impossible to move. Weight isn't a problem, idk if my tires keep popping or what because I really need this fixed right away unless it is just the usual bug.

Alright so I am creating an airshow map where me and some AI aircraft perform aerobatics. I want to try and perform a side by side takeoff with another F-14 Tomcat since that is what I fly. I know this is possible because in the SU-25 Frogfoot Campaign there was the mission with the side by side takeoff. I have set up all the flights correctly and they respond to my formation commands in the air. Idk if this is something you have to code yourself or what. I know that Eagle Dynamics said that they will do a parking and layout update for carriers and airports, but until then we have to wait. If anyone knows how to do this please tell me how, or even how to open pre made missions in the mission editor to see how it is made.

So I was going to use the Lantirn pod once again because it is quite fun, but come to find out that there is a metal plate over the panel. You can still click the buttons but you can't see anything. I'm hoping that this is a temporary bug and not an accidental thing.

No, I was using the George Washington Class. It's the carrier that I saw in a video being used, but I could try the Stennis

Alright let me get to the point, I have been getting kind of bored of the basic missions were you take out a couple enemies and land on an airport, but I want to do the whole cold start aircraft carrier start. The thing is that DCS obviously hates me because every time I start, I always are in the air and never on the carrier. I have tried takeoff on ramp, takeoff on runway, landing, client, player, but nothing works. It works on the AI, but not the player. I have searched hours over the internet to try and figure out how to do it, it still doesn't work. FYI I am trying to attempt this with the F-14, I do not use the supercarrier DLC.
