Should I search for S8 and in the key binding settings? I will probably want to bind "S8" to my stick or throttle. Had to google nose wheel steering because it was named something atypical. When I switch to Dogfight mode, I can lock onto something quickly and they maneuver more like R-73s than an AIM-120. When I see the lock symobolgy on the HUD does that mean it is cueing? I'm finding the SD-10s overall to be quite excellent. With the PL-5 in Dogfight mode I often get locks onto a target (HUD puts a box on a plane), but the seeker occasionally seems to track another plane. If I press the unlock button, it appears to unlock the target being tracked by radar but the PL-5 seeker will still remain tracking whatever it is locked onto. So lets say I have a plane in front of me I want to launch at, the PL-5 may be tracking something far off up and to the right that is at an extreme angle. I cannot seem to figure out how to force it to track the plane directly in front of me even if the radar seems to be tracking it. Overall, I am quite liking this. I prefer the F-16, but this isn't a bad compliment to it. If they can manage to add in later blocks with HMD that would be really nice.

How do we launch the SD-10 while in Dogfight mode? Following this tutorial, and can use the SD-10 at long range just fine. PL-5 and guns in Dogfight mode I have working. But I must be missing a step, as when I get a lock in Dogfight mode with only SD-10s on, and they seem to be selected, I cannot launch them. Any suggestions on what I am likely missing? Edit: Left MFCD, left side of the panel 3rd button down. Click it twice. Now it works well.

Does anyone have a list and screen shots of the currently available air bases and airports? And how many more are planned? I've read that there were two military air bases but not sure if that information is up to date.

I hope soon. Around 7 or so years ago the ground unit's accuracy became obscene and has been that way since. It made me stop playing ground attack missions for a long time. BMP-2s were shooting my wings off when I was in Flankers and Fulcrums. As it is now it is easier to dodge Vulcans and Shilkas than it is BMP-2s, BTRs and other vehicles not designed for air defense. The ability to detect, track and the accuracy is extremely unrealistic. You have to consider what the sighting solutions look like in these vehicles and you'd quickly realize how hard it would be to ID and track and aircraft through these things. As an example, watch the first 5 seconds of this video. BTR-82. It is shooting at a parked M113 at close range. You'll notice that the second shot misses. It goes over the top of the vehicle. If you watch BMP-2/3 and BTR-82s you'll see how much dispersion there is and how inaccurate they are. Here is another video that does an even better job of showing dispersion. Other vehicles are a bit more accurate, but still tracking and successfully engaging and hitting planes would be extremely difficult. Slow and low flying helicopters are more likely to be hit.

Personally I would like to see the F-14D. The modernized HUD would be well worth it.

What does the F-4 module have that the F-14 or F-16 modules don't?

With the upgrade being $10 or so, I think that is probably a good one to use Miles on. Though now I am looking at the JF-17. $56 is a lot more than most the other modules, but it seems a bit simpler to get into and has more A2G options.

Yeah I would just gain Miles for the F-14. Thinking over South Atlantic. How many air bases will the final product have? Miles I'd plan on using for FC 2024.

Will Flaming Cliffs 2024 come out on the July 3 update? And quick question with the Miles program. Would I be able to use Miles with the FC 2024 upgrade? The upgrade should be priced at $9.99, so once it goes live I will plan on purchasing it. I'm thinking of getting F-14 (4790 Miles) and South Atlantic (3490 Miles). 8280 Miles in total. Would I be able to apply these towards the FC 2024 upgrade, or are Miles limited to non-upgrade discounts?

Thanks. Any rough idea on when we can see this update? The screen shots in the OP look quite nice and like an improvement over what I saw in the past. Wondering if the detailed map area is expanding.

Is this update currently out? How is progress going? I have read that updates to the map have been slow. Roughly how long until this is out of early access? I am looking at getting this one on sale, but am worried if it has been abandoned or if there are active updates coming out for it.

Working on a new skin for the F-16C. When I load into DCS itself, I can find the skin in the loadout section and use it in game. But the ED Model Viewer does not seem to find the skin in the Livery dialogue box. Tried looking up some tutorials but seems like it is a different procedure for different aircraft. For the F-16C, where must I put the skin for it to be select able in the ED Model viewer? Also, does anyone have a full list of all the countries that have F-16s? That way I can add it for all available countries. Currently I have USA, Greece and Poland. Looking for the rest, particularly the USAF Aggressor coalitions. countries = {"USA","GRC","POL",} Edit: Believe I figured it out. It shows under: f-16c bl.50 There is a: f-16_50 which is where most of the skins show up. Is there any difference in the 3D model between the two? If anyone has the rest of the country codes, I would appreciate that.

Hopefully that is soon then. I want to fly around in the F-5E in VR, even if I don't end up playing it much. But for a dog fighter in VR it looks like I can get some fun out of it.

Will FC 2024 go up for sale this month?

I don't really see what the point of it is. People either want the full fidelity or something slightly simplified when it comes to avionics, but wants all the rest of the flight simulation aspects like the mission editor. And most would want to use them alongside each other. Unless MAC is supposed to be a War Thunder or Ace Combat like project, I don't see the point of it.

When will FC 2024 go up for sale? I am not seeing it on the modules page yet. I am looking to purchase the upgrade version. Will the date be announced in the next news letter, or will the module itself be released in the next update of DCS? Bit confused on the wording. Wanting to get the $9.99 upgrade promo.

Still haven't quite figured this out. I assume I must have some setting not enabled properly on my motherboard. Motherboard is an ASRock X670E PG Lightning. I redownloaded the latest chipset driver for the motherboard, though that did not seem to get rid of the error.

I tried reversing the USB C on the headset end. Though I am not sure if I rebooted the headset. Not sure if I did it with the PC end disconnected and only the headset end connected, will have to double check that.

Getting this error: Though it generally works well when using it with DCS; better than Air Link at least. Minimal interruptions. Though I feel like it could be more stable so something must not be right and maybe the quality isn't as good as it can be? The software and headset should be updated to the latest version as of two days ago. Tried rebooting the headset a few times, still get the same results. For the USB C end, it is a Type C where it connects to the headset but Type A for the motherboard.

Recently purchased this Syntech Link Cable for the Quest 2. In general it works with minimal output issues and the stability is quite smooth; a big improvement over Air Link. It does seem to hold its charge for a while, and after around 45 or so minutes it drops down to around 89% battery (it claims to hold the charge at 78%). My only problem is in the Meta Quest software, it shows that it apparently is showing up as a USB 2 device. I have tried just about all available USB 3 ports on my motherboard, which include USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. Motherboard is an ASRock X670E PG Lightning. Is there anything I can check to ensure this is working at proper USB 3 speeds? I assume if it is running at USB 2 speeds quality may not be as it could be. I do have it set to 120Hz, though I am wondering if it works fully if it thinks I am using a USB 2 cable.

Cannot quite get Air Link to work without issues and I'm not really interested in dealing with Air Link cutting out anymore. I've been looking for a 3rd party PD protocol link cable to use with the Quest 2 where I can use the cable for video instead of Air Link and charge while I play. The official Quest link cable is $80 and cannot sustain a charge as it charges over the USB, so that is why I am looking for a 3rd party option. Wondering if there is any specific brand to avoid or anything specific to get, or if anyone here uses one of these link cables and would recommend one? Looking for high quality video over the cable with good consistency. I've been looking at this one, though it is $35. It does specify it supports 120Hz, is that something other link cables may not support? Kuject Design 18W Fast Charging Link Cable for Quest 2/Pro/Pico 4 There is also a Syntech option for $23. Syntech Link Cable Compatible with Meta/Oculus Quest 2 And finally this INIU option for $20. INIU 16FT Link Cable for Meta Oculus Quest 2/3/Pro Is there any reason to not just get the cheapest INIU cable? Just want to ensure I get something that can deliver the video/audio over the cable in as high quality as possible without cutting out.

I am doubtful they can get enough information on a modern F-15C. Just because you get access to information to one plane type doesn't mean you can get access to another plane type.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I was referring to modern planes. I'm sure there is some overlap but generally people wanting to play a modern fighter have little interesting in WWII planes and vice versa. The amount of modern plane options is quite slim because a lot of the information is classified and hard to come across. It is quite amazing that ED was able to do an F-16C as it is, but I doubt we will see something like an F-16V anytime this decade if not longer. Even the upcoming Eurofighter in "full fidelity" appears to be a rough approximation of variants/upgrades. I am okay with that, and the complexity will be higher than "low fidelity" FC3 fighters but like the FC3 planes some of the systems may end up being approximations.

Also checking the e-shop and noticed that this does not give you Miles. Last terrian I bought was Syria and that give me Miles to put towards another module. Is there any reason Kola does not give any Miles?
