  2. Would be unfortunate to see the server go after such a long time. Its hard to fill a niche that requires players to do more than just use the weapons, actually communicating and planning stuff is somewhat hard to do with random people
  3. Is there a folder somewhere with the briefing maps for all the missions? would be nice to have so while playing as GCI can see where the targets location is and draw them in LOTATC or to have on a second monitor. if not it isnt that big of a deal.
  4. absolutely worth it if you like doing the GCI work, makes your life a bit easier but a bit more interesting in various ways.
  5. Hey was taking out Rb-75 for night mission and noticed its impossible to see through the screen in Bhot and Whot modes, is there a “night filter” or brightness knob for that screen that i am missing? (The rb-75 one not radar)
  6. its realistic limits for speed across the deck atleast, warning at 1200kph (M1.14), i think it should actually destroy at 1400kph (M1.20)

Believe its about 1600ft for a viggen is recommended length Viggen is quite stable typically its best if we got a 3 lane road or atleast two lanes with a shoulder for landing, taking off the two lanes is fine typically about the ossetia mission id say a 50% of it was too many MiGs, a bit of it was poor planning from the pilots, and the rest was front line was too far back, the F-5s were back at the mountains most the mission and theres not much support to pull MiGs away, and lastly EWR coverage was acting up it was showing all of them then suddenly bunch of people all over disappear almost as if it was bugging out
  8. maybe some BK-90s tucked away in there too could clean stuff out pretty good with those
  9. ive never had a problem talking people onto the roadbases as a GCI, can always have them overfly the road first. truck and all that is somewhat unecessary if you are already in a GCI slot

  11. that was growling sidewinder server, I think they removed that a while back maybe he still has the script and would be willing to share it but I don't think tanking airframes for carrying 6 missiles would be an effective solution since without doing that they might kill and enemy aircraft or two in process of losing all those missiles and the airframe versus that just destroying the airframe and six missiles
  12. would love to see some syria missions going again, always love flying helicopters there.

  14. unfortunately theres a couple people I see regularly that dont follow objectives at all with strike loads that Im sure will take 6 24js
  15. scripting part yea I got hardly any idea I just know triggers and all that really
  16. maybe rather than base it off limiting AAM numbers maybe require atleast 2 pylons have AG Missiles, Bombs, rockets, or maybe pods too until flag for some objectives completed with swedish delivery for an example could apply that to the viggen slots and not allow them to go without AG in alpha slots until objective Alpha is completed. only problem with a method like that is airframes getting destroyed
  17. yea out ran a mig the other day in swedish delivery works great as intended but you just cant always get away, for things such as fuel state or if somebody is at the target point they can catch you slower than normal and vulnerable depending the munitions in use. to each their own but the problem with that is we are very limited in viggens and multiple of the soviet jets are gonna beat you right after the first turn if not just murder you head on and we end up without viggens later game or a slot is taken that somebody else could use to complete the mission objectives. not saying that the strike roles dont die just the variant we have is quite unsuccessful in air combat unless you are top notch in the viggen and youre fighting someone who is totally unfamiliar with viggen.

Agree with all that, the -24 is terrible same as GAR-8 the F86 carries which is only useful if you sneak up on a non maneuvering target and such which is a tactic that cannot be applied to viggen since its used more often than not defensively because a MiG found them which leaves you requiring guns that as you mention are impossible to also use on maneuvering target, so much lead required that they could reverse a turn and youre done for.

Ever been any thought of a system in chat where people can vote to start new mission? get 50% of each coalition to say yes and it resets. just asking since some missions once a team has lost it starts to thin out in air combat and ground targets then people start getting off, maybe would keep player counts a bit more consistent
  22. "five points unleashed" mission has the SA342Mistrals but it wont let me get into those slots but I can get into the Viggen slots at the same field? checked the storage page and it shows full stock of both airframes.

  24. Just was checking to see if this was reported, I can sink tons of ships since it wont hit them with CIWS ive not tested it but I wonder if the AI ones are the same
