Really tho? Most pilots on the server don't fly one jet exclusively. And as one of those who defends the AV8B, if you read my arguments you'd see it's nothing to do with "so many advantages" it's to do with adding another jet to the server which adds to the missions and doesn't diminish the experience of Within Visual Range Combat, which is the life and soul of the server. The AV8B and Viggen carry no advantage over the Mig-21 that can't be overcome. Name me one pilot who only flys the AV8B or Viggen and tops the leader boards because of the unfair advantage you refer to? :music_whistling: I'll give you some who fly a variety of jets and manage to have no problem putting the AV8B and Viggen in the dirt with the Mig-21 and also fly Viggens and AV8B's. :thumbup: Time to back up your statements mate. Advanced in what respect dude? Is it purely for a historically accurate setting that you would prefer them out? Personally I can't think of anything that distinguishes them over the Mig-21 to such a degree that they have no place on the server. I do agree that they might be to modern for that setting if you want a "historical accurate server". But you will be severely limiting your choices of jet and will have to make a larger number of changes than simply removing two jets in order to achieve that.

Looking over Tacvies from last two nights over 6hrs worth.. All Pilots not just me FYI Blue Viggen- To Kill Mig21 = 1 Shot F5-E3- To kill Mig21 = 1-2 Shots 50/50 AV8B- To Kill Mig21 = 1-3 Shots Predominantly 1Shot Any Jet To Kill SU-25 = 1Million Gun Rounds... Honestly ridiculous :lol: Red Mig21- To Kill F5-E3 = 1 Shot To Kill Viggen = 1Shot To Kill AV8B = 1-3Shots Predominantly 2Shots SU-25- To Kill Anything = No Data Kinda interesting to see. Also worth bearing in mind when I was killing Migs in the AV8B I was trying to get as many head on as possible or side on to maximize potential for killing the pilot because I know it can take two shots. Most of the F5-E3 kills on Migs were rear aspect close range, medium to long range took more hits to kill. Overall the Viggen seems the most stable for killing and kills. This is in no way the most accurate test but some of you might find it interesting. :thumbup:

Na the concern is over the drastic change in the DM behavior in the mig and others recently matey. The AV8B got a lot better recently but is still a bit too tough. Pretty sure the AV8B is here to stay. The server although called Cold War is more of a non BVR server.

Guys.... 100% Mig-21, 15 and AV8B's take two missiles 7/10 times at the moment. I have Manny manny tacviews to prove dis.

And the Mig-21 Damage model and the Mig-15 Damage model and the..... man they have their work cut out for them

Tacview should work chief. I use it all the time, as do some of the other guys that fly on the server. It operates with a 10min delay (which it tells you when you load into the server) and if your game crashes or has issues on disconnected it can cause corrupt files. But that's the norm. Have you updated your Tacview since installing 2.5? cause the old version wont work.

Unfortunately it only shows the missing units and not the act itself. I'm completely assuming on my accusation as to to who.. Might be worth making those particular units invulnerable if this is the new thing kids are going to be doing.

So fun story today... Jump into Phone Booth... Peeps complaining about not being able to rearm... I though mine had but nope...Strange right Not when you realize someone has killed all the units at our base so we have no ground crew.. Guess who might have done it?..... Prime suspect left shortly after I joined. C**T

The return of Battle over Sukhumi seems to have made a return. Just a few things I noticed lads; 1. Mig-21 missing items from loadout menu 2. Harrier has no AWAKS 3. First thing I did was kill a friendly Viggen :music_whistling: RED and BLUE Viggens = very confusing

That's disappointing DB :cry: I'm guessing you've tried everything? I had to reduce my visible distance considerable. Also bear in mind this even is in Nevada which typically runs better than other maps

Hi guys, Looking for some support in pushing for more admin support of the Cold War Server. It's not a bashing exercise or anything like that. I think some peeps are being a little entitled IMO You'r post was great Snoop and Using that against patch notes is how I keep up to date. And or with the pocket guide. But again man it's not like we are still waiting for a critical bug to be fixed since August last year... cough VEAO cough cough... I think given how new the module is and how open Razbam have been we can forgive a two-three week delay on a sticky. Now if it's tow months later then yeah that's a bit disappointing from them after saying they would do it. Remember its primarily just one guy doing the AV8B
