Thanks for the reply. We tried that and it won't let him hear. Even rebound the keys. He can control the player also...just no audio. the .ogg files are present in his game. (Edit: they are the default tracks, although i'm not even sure he needs the track if it was a custom song)

Hi, We cannot get the walkman to play for the RIO. He can control it, and hears the clicking sounds of "Play, Pause etc." but no music. Obviously it's completely unplayable  Any suggestions?

Hi, I have 2 buttons on my virpil throttle which DCS lets me map in the options, but will not recognize in game. They are both on the same hat switch and work in other games and in the Virpil software. Any ideas?

Ok WTF....lol I figured I'd try something different...enabled IPv6 on everything....Server now shows in the list and I can connect....shows a strange address that looks like IPv6 but isn't mine. I'm confused. I can't connect using the correct IPv4...but If I copy and paste that strange string of numbers....it works.

Same issue here. My own server. Port verified open via checker. Unable to connect unless on same network with internal IP

Thanks for the replies. This is driving me insane. I have everything set up and still no luck. Port shows open, I can ping the host externally. Tried with firewall disabled in case rules were wrong...nothing. Can't connect from outside. Just says "Address Unavailable". If I try a different port..."Server Offline" Edit: IPv6 is disabled in router. Static IP for host machine.

Hello, I have a dedicated server set up on a separate machine. Correct ports are open and firewall was disabled for testing. I cannot get a client to connect from outside the network and just get the address unavailable message. The server DOES show up under my ED profile server manager and I can connect and manage it. Just can't get any clients to see it in server list or connect directly via ip. Even tried changing port numbers etc. No ISP blocking of ports(as mentioned it shows all ports needed to be open with tools like canyouseeme.org) Not sure what's up. Any ideas?

I've asked this a while back but figured it's that time again :) Has anyone found a solution to the motion smoothing induced ghosting issue? Quick recap: I have a pretty beefy system (9900K, 2080ti, 32GB etc etc...), and without motion smoothing I can maintain a decent framerate (around 60ish or so) at all times with my settings in VR. Obviously with no smoothing this introduces a very stutter filled experience in VR. That being said, with MS turned on, I get s solid 45 at all times, and it's a perfect experience EXCEPT objects like other planes ghosting badly with any lateral motion.... Anyone have a solution? It's unplayable in ACM as you cannot reliably identify planes, and i't obviously severely immersion breaking. Basically DCS is a nice simulator to go do some sightseeing at the moment or to impress people new to VR. Combat? not so much unless it's all BVR

The problem isn't pd or eye candy. If you use ASW or similar and drop to ANYTHING below 90fps this artifact appears. The only way to get rid of it is to disable any smoothing but then you get bad stutters at anything below 90. I guess we have to wait for better hardware or optimizations in order to get 90fps constant.
-
Yeah, ghosting is an appropriate way to describe it. Happens to shadow on ground as well. Any fixes? With this problem gone, It would be a perfect experience for me.
-
This is with motion smoothing enabled. Seems it's an artifact of the system itself from what I read. If MS is on (45fps) fast moving objects appear double.

Hey, So I have both a Vive Pro, and a 5k+. My question is how do you address the double vision of enemy planes in gun range combat? I mean does everyone just put up with it? PID is nearly impossible unless you're 200 yards from your target lol. I say that because I can't get any faster hardware (2080TI, 9900k, 32Gb etc. all overclocked) Am I missing something here? I even try at lowest settings and still get dropped to 45FPS because 90 just isn't attainable 100 percent. Nick

Don't know if you're referring to my post, but I'm not sure what else I can buy that's faster.... Please tell me lol. I understand that smoothing won't be as good, but it's REALLY BAD right now. I've used Vive/Vive Pro, and Rift prior to the pimax and don't ever remember the judder to be THIS bad.... I think something else is going on is what I'm saying. No way people play like this...

DCS at 45fps(smoothing) in a 5k+ is unplayable for me. In straight&level it's fine, even looking around cockpit, but as soon as I roll the judders from smoothing are just completely game breaking. Any suggestions on how to address this? Specs seems like they'd be good enough lol: 9900K 5.0/RTX2080Ti oced/ 32GB RAM etc etc.... Settings: Mostly low or Off other than cockpit textures HIGH. SS 1.0/PiTOOL 1.0

Probably a dumb question, but I can't get the English cockpit to work. I select it but no changes in game. Any ideas? Tried reinstalling the module.

Need Clarification on some NAV related issues.

Just answered my own question. Disregard the MARK points question. You can cycle them in the CDU. -
Need Clarification on some NAV related issues.

Makes sense  Another question I had was how to properly use "MARK" points. I know how to use HOTAS to mark a point, but how do you recall any given one? -
Hello, Could someone explain the proper use of the bullseye/anchor point? I understand it is a common point shared by friendlies in the same general area, but what exactly would be the purpose? Like a rally point? Also, I have a hard time understanding the "hooking" function. Maybe I could get some help on that. The nav tutorial is well made, but only gives a glimpse of the more intricate functions of the system. I have read the manual :) but maybe I just need a simpler explanation  I have used FMS and various others in RL but this has me stumped

First Campaign/First Mission Crash
LeonRedbone replied to LeonRedbone's topic in Mission and Campaigns
Thanks for the reply :) BTW, any way of getting that A-10 to move out of the way at the taxi/rnwy intersection?? I mean I guess I can take off from the other end, but being a real pilot, I just have this horrid vision of him rolling out at the same time and BAM! lol Since you can't really talk to him and all.... -
Hello, I'm sure this has been covered, but I couldn't find the info for some reason. When I play the first campaign/first mission, upon asking taxi clearance the sim CTDs. This doesn't happen immediately, but a few seconds after the request, when the sim tries to play the ATC soundfile.

Hello, I have recently installed a new video card, and BS asked me to re-activate due to major hardware changes. Now, even with the correct key entered it tells me the key is corrupted. I have e-mailed support with my details. Please help me solve this issue. LR

thanks for the responses, I am looking :)

Hello, New to the forums. Been playing BS and FC2 lots lately, and want to get into some MP. I'd like to join a laid back squad. I am decent at flying BS, not so great on tactics yet. Also decent at flying Su25. I prefer those two aircraft. Let me know if anyone has a place for me :)
