  1. So close the thread? What other contributions do you expect? And yes I did happen to read that. That doesn't change the fact that I am not a member of the team and can't answer the question. Or the fact that I am still being civil. Now you're contradicting yourself. Is it the DRM discussion or opinions on Steam that aren't allowed in this thread? And when did I mention either of those?
  2. I was talking about a false claim that somebody made about the platform itself, and didn't really say anything about Steam as DRM. I didn't even bring up the issue at all. As I'm not a member of the DCS team, I'm not sure how you would expect me to answer the OP's question. Browsing through the thread, it seems to be more or less a general discussion about people's opinions on whether or not AC-10C should be published on Steam. I contributed to the topic in a polite fashion, so I'd say what I posted is still relevant to the thread.
  3. Drop what? It's relevant to the thread topic. What else are we supposed to discuss?
  4. Steam does not interact with an OS outside of providing updates for runtime libraries and adding game components to the registries (serial keys). However, this is a function of whatever game you happen to be installing, and to be quite frank has nothing to do with Steam itself. Other than that, it offers driver updates which are optional and streams automatic updates to games. It's essentially just a large IM client with a browser that keeps your games in one convenient folder. It's fine if you have issues with it, but don't just make stuff up. Seriously. He's an avid tech and software enthusiast who has a sizable knowledge of flight simulators and has been using Steam long enough to be well aware of its pros and cons. Please answer his question.
