  1. Thanks for posting. Was literally about to purchase from them today! No thanks.
  2. Hi all, new to DCS, been playing about 3 months now. I want to make the jump to VR, but I have heard mixed opinions regarding what minimum specs you need. I understand that DCS isn't optimized, and VR is very resource intensive. My expectations would be medium settings (I am currently have Ultra settings now). I built my PC about 2 months ago soley to play DCS/ MSFS2020. My PC Ryzen 7 3800X (8 core, 3.9ghz core clock, 4.5 turbo clock) 32 GB DDR4 Ram (Think it is around the 3200 speed) (Also thinking of upgrading to 64gb) 3060TI (8GB) 750W PSU 1 TB SSD (Once again, DCS is quickly filling it up, so I am probably going to get another Acer 32in Curved monitor (144hz refresh rate) Could I get a decent experience out of DCS in VR? If so, what VR systems do you recommend? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi all! I have gotten to the point in which I feel confident enough to fly the F15C in combat scenarios. It is taken a lot of trial and errors, but I am now able to take off, land (both VFR and ILS), refuel, and engage hostiles. **I am not god's gift to DCS, but feel I can begin (albeit poorly) learning my way through campaigns) It has taken literally hours of practice, reading, etc. However, now that I have downloaded the F15C Red Flag Campaign, I have AI wing men, and while I kinda understand the functions, I can not for the life of me find any resources explaining what each command does. Does anyone have a link/video that can help me out? Thanks for your time. PS- Also have the Viper/F18/F5 that I am slowly learning as well!
  4. I was just binding controls the the F15 yesterday for 3+ hours (figuring out what works). Trim worked just fine. Conversely, I just purchased my first full fidelity model and the camera controls are horrific.
  5. Hi all, Build a PC for playing DCS, and purchased FC3 while on sale to "cut my teeth" into. Have been slowly building my knowledge, skill, etc. I finally purchased my first full fidelity model (F5 Tiger), but the camera controls are terrible. I can only use the hat button on my joystick to move my head. I loved the fact that I could right click the mouse to move my view, mouse wheel to zoom in/out (both internally and externally). I also have a X52 HOTAS that has a knob on the throttle that I could use to zoom. Now, I can't get the slider to recognize what-so-ever, and I can't change the mouse settings to the way they were before. Any suggestions? I also have a TrackIR in the mail that will certainly help, but would love to begin flying, doing ILS approaches, etc... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. All, just spent a little north of 2k building a rig to play DCS. I am looking for a HOTAS and ran into a new Thrustmaster 16000m for $140 new. Is there anything seriously wrong with this stick? Should I pull the trigger? I understand it isn't a Warthog, but that isn't in the budget. Thanks for your help!
  7. Hello all, I FINALLY decided to go for it, and build a PC dedicated to DCS World and Flight SIm 2020. I have watched thousands of hours of youtube (lol) and think I have something that will play DCS better than a 3 year old laptop w/ a 2GB graphics cards. SetUp AMD Ryzen 7 3800K (8 Cores) 32 GB RAM (DDR-4, 3200 CL16) Crucial MX500 1TB SSD RTX 3060TI (8GB) EVGA 600W Power Supply Acer 31.5 Inch Curved Gaming Monitor (2560x1440) Monitor Still Need Joystick/Hotas set up (what do you guys recommend?) The wife has expressed I am at the end of the budget (for now), so a WartHog HOTAS is a no go) It appears that most that have provided me feedback have stated that if you don't have TrackIR, or something like it, you will only be frustrated... Is this correct? Thanks for all your time and input, I look forward on being target practice for many of you in the near future!
