Check your mods, i tried your mission, I had the same issue, disabled mods and it started working

When being fired at from head on in multiplayer, there is no sound of the bullets striking. The engine just starts spluttering which is the only indication of being hit. I tried removing the module and redownloading with no change.

G'day, what happened to the files, can't find them anymore? I realise its a couple of years later, was hoping they were still around. Cheers Merro
